Regular Acupuncture isn’t just something you come to when things go wrong, it’s a powerful way to maintain your health and keep your body functioning at its best.

By supporting the body’s natural balance, acupuncture can help:
• Improve sleep quality and help you feel more rested
• Regulate digestion and reduce bloating or discomfort
• Ease muscle tension and reduce pain
• Support energy levels and stress resilience

Think of it as a tune-up for your body, keeping everything flowing smoothly before issues build up.

Consistency is where the magic happens 🤍

📚This week I’ve began the final year of Chinese Herbal Medicine. 👩‍🎓

One of the things I value most about working in healthcare is that learning never really stops. Alongside treating patients in the clinic, I’ll be spending the next 18 months deepening my understanding of Chinese herbal medicine and continuing to build the knowledge that underpins good clinical practice.

I’m looking forward to another year of balancing study with practice, challenging myself, and continuing to grow as a practitioner. Every new concept and every clinical insight ultimately comes back to one goal – providing the best care I can for the people who trust me with their health.

I’m excited for what’s ahead Endeavour College

Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine

Chinese Medicine is a comprehensive and holistic system of healthcare that has been practiced for over 2,000years. It views the body as an interconnected system where physical, emotional, and environmental factors all influence health. Rather than simply treating symptoms, Chinese Medicine aims to identify and address the underlying patterns of imbalance that may be contributing to pain, fatigue, stress, digestive concerns, hormonal irregularities, or reduced immunity. Treatments are personalized to your individual constitution, health history,
and lifestyle, combining traditional wisdom with evidence-based practice.

Acupuncture involves the gentle insertion of very fine, sterile needles into specific points on the body. These
points stimulate circulation, regulate the nervous system, and support the body's natural healing mechanisms. Many clients find acupuncture deeply relaxing, often describing a sense of calm and restoration after treatment.

Acupuncture can help to:
• Relieve musculoskeletal pain and inflammation
• Support hormonal balance and women’s health
• Improve digestion and gut function
• Enhance sleep quality
• Reduce stress, anxiety, and nervous system overload
• Support injury recovery and overall vitality

Cupping therapy uses gentle suction cups placed on the skin to improve circulation and release muscular
tension. The suction helps draw fresh blood flow into tight or stagnant areas, assisting the body’s natural repair processes. Temporary circular marks may appear, which are not bruises but signs of improved circulation.

Cupping can help to:
• Relieve neck, shoulder, and back tension
• Support respiratory health during colds or congestion
• Enhance recovery from physical strain or sports activity
• Reduce stagnation and promote tissue healing

Gua Sha is a traditional technique that involves gently gliding a smooth-edged tool across the skin to stimulate circulation and move stagnation. It can be used on the body or face and is particularly helpful for muscular tightness and inflammatory conditions.

Gua Sha can help to:
• Reduce muscle tension and stiffness
• Support immune function
• Assist with headaches and neck pain
• Promote lymphatic movement and fluid circulation

Moxibustion is a traditional therapy that involves the gentle warming of specific acupuncture points using dried mugwort herb (moxa). The warmth penetrates deeply into the muscles and meridians, helping to stimulate circulation, strengthen the body’s energy (Qi), and dispel cold from the system. Moxibustion is particularly beneficial for conditions that present with cold, fatigue, weak digestion, menstrual discomfort, or chronic pain that improves with heat. The treatment produces a soothing, therapeutic warmth and is often used alongside acupuncture to enhance treatment outcomes.

Moxibustion can help to:
• Improve circulation and warm cold conditions
• Support digestion and low energy patterns
• Relieve menstrual cramps and pelvic discomfort
• Strengthen immunity and recovery
• Assist chronic pain that responds well to heat

In Chinese Medicine, food is considered a powerful form of medicine. Chinese Nutrition Therapy focuses on the energetic properties of foods and how they influence digestion, metabolism, immunity, and hormonal balance. Recommendations are practical, seasonal, and tailored to your unique constitution.

Chinese Nutrition Therapy is important in maintaining overall health and can help to:
• Support digestive health and reduce bloating
• Improve energy and metabolic function
• Strengthen immunity
• Balance inflammation and internal heat
• Reduce fluid retention
• Encourage long-term wellbeing through sustainable dietary choices

Your initial consultation includes a comprehensive health discussion, tongue and pulse assessment, and a personalised treatment plan. Acupuncture needles are usually retained in the body for 20-40 minutes.

Treatments are designed to support both immediate relief and long-term balance. Sessions are calm,
professional, and focused on helping you feel supported and informed throughout your care.
