Kim and Peta have been busy settling into their beautiful new SIL home, and it’s been wonderful to see them making the space their own! 🏠

From preparing delicious meals together, getting their hands dirty planting flowers, to heading out shopping for things to make their house feel like home, every little moment is helping create a space filled with comfort, connection and independence.

It’s about so much more than moving into a new property. It’s about building routines, making memories, developing everyday living skills and creating a place where they both feel safe, supported and proud to call home. 🩷

We love seeing Kim and Peta embracing this exciting new chapter, making choices about their home and enjoying the little moments along the way.

With the right support, encouragement and a little teamwork, they’re creating a home that reflects their personalities and brings them joy. 🩵

A HUGE ACHIEVEMENT FOR OUR DALTON! 💙🏉

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Dalton has been selected to represent Tasmania at the 2026 AFL Inclusion Carnival! 👏

This is an incredible achievement and a wonderful recognition of just how far Dalton has come. His hard work, determination, passion and commitment are truly paying off, and we couldn’t be more proud.

Dalton has become such an influential and valued member of our small community. He continues to challenge himself, build his confidence, grow his independence and inspire those around him. Watching his journey and seeing opportunities like this unfold has been incredibly special.

This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing people and organisations who continue to support Dalton along the way. A huge thank you to New Horizons Tasmania, AFL Tasmania, the AFL Inclusion Carnival team, and Dalton’s incredible support team for believing in him, encouraging him and helping him reach his goals.

Most importantly, this is Dalton’s achievement - and he should be incredibly proud of himself. 🌟

From mowing lawns and building independence at home, to now representing Tasmania on the AFL lawn.. what a journey! 🏉

Getting it done! 💪🏼🏡

Housemates Dalton and Albert have taken full advantage of this beautiful day to get outside and help with the upkeep of their home! ☀️

With the support of their team, and Dalton guiding and encouraging Albert along the way, both boys got stuck into mowing the lawns - and we couldn’t be prouder!

It’s so wonderful to see the encouragement they give one another and the confidence they’re building through everyday tasks. Moments like these are a beautiful reminder of the relationships and genuine connections that can form through support.

Dalton and Albert continue to encourage one another to be the best versions of themselves, build their independence and take pride in their home.

Sometimes, it’s the everyday achievements that make the biggest difference.

It is with deep sadness that we share that we have lost two very special members of our community this week.

While we won’t share names, we want to take a moment to honour the two beautiful women they were and the lives they touched.

They each brought their own unique presence, personality and light into the lives of those around them, and they will be deeply missed.

Our thoughts and love are with their families and friends during this incredibly difficult time, as well as the support workers who worked closely alongside them and shared in their lives.

Grief can be incredibly difficult, and we want to remind our staff, participants, friends and families that support is available. You don’t have to navigate it alone.

If you’re struggling, please reach out. Whether you need a listening ear, a conversation, or simply someone to sit with you through a difficult moment, we are always here for a chat.

Today, we pay our respects to two beautiful women who will be remembered with love.

October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month! 💛💙

This month, we’re celebrating people with Down syndrome and encouraging greater understanding, inclusion and opportunities in our community.

At My Support Link, this celebration is close to our hearts because our very own Hunta has Down syndrome.
We’re proud to celebrate Hunta as a valued member of our MSL community and recognise the interests, choices and dreams that make Hunta who he is.

Everyone deserves to feel welcome, have their voice heard and have opportunities to pursue their goals. Let’s keep learning, challenge stereotypes and make inclusion part of everyday life.

Hunta had a fantastic night out with Hannah at the New Horizons Tasmania monthly Dinner Club at Levee Food Co ! 🍽️

It was a great opportunity to get out, socialise, enjoy some delicious food and spend time connecting with others. After dinner, the night continued with a scenic walk outside, taking in the beautiful nighttime views and enjoying some fresh air.

It was such a lovely evening filled with good food, great company, beautiful views and plenty of smiles!
The staff at Levee are brilliant and so kind.

We love seeing Hunta getting out into the community, trying new experiences and enjoying everything a great night out has to offer! 💙✨

Two incredible young men. Two very different journeys. One thing in common — they’re both making a real impact in their community. 🏀⚽

We want to shine a light on Albert and Dalton, and take a moment to celebrate some of the incredible things they’ve been achieving both on and off the sporting field.

Albert recently had a very special moment at the Tasmanian Disability Awards, taking home Goal Kicker of the Year. 🏆⚽

It was fantastic to see this achievement recognised and to celebrate Albert’s passion for sport and the dedication he brings to the things that matter to him.

Dalton’s commitment to inclusion and community extends well beyond the sporting field. Through the New Horizons Club in Launceston, Dalton regularly encourages and mentors other people with disability, helping create opportunities for people to get involved, build confidence and enjoy being part of a team.

Most recently, Dalton organised Hoops and Kicks, an inclusive charity event bringing people with disability and their supports together for futsal and basketball while raising money for a local charity. 🏀⚽

It’s fantastic to see Albert and Dalton pursuing their passions, getting involved in their community and creating opportunities for others along the way.

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate them both — and the people around them who continue to support and encourage their participation.

A special shout-out to Nikki Jeffrey and Liam Clark from our Transform Life team, who were there to celebrate alongside them at the Tasmanian Disability Awards. 👏
