You may start spotting members of the Aussie Angels team wearing our brand new purple shirts, as well as our traditional green ones.

Don’t worry - our green shirts aren’t retiring, and nobody accidentally mixed the washing. 😂 It’s still the same friendly faces, compassionate care and quality support… we’ve just expanded the wardrobe!

So whether you see us in green or purple, you’ll know an Aussie Angel has arrived.

Today, 18 August, holds special meaning for Australia’s Vietnam veterans as we mark 60 years since the Battle of Long Tan in 1966.

On Vietnam Veterans’ Day, Aussie Angels honours the courage, sacrifice and service of all Australians who served in the Vietnam War. We remember those who never returned home and acknowledge the lasting impact carried by veterans and their families.

To every Vietnam veteran - thank you for your service. We will remember them.

When you’ve got a continence assessment at 10 and the world to save at 11… 🦸‍♀️

Our Director Angela headed out today in full superhero mode - nursing uniform on, assessment kit packed and office boots firmly in place! We’re getting serious Elastigirl from The Incredibles vibes. 😂

No terrain too tricky, no assessment too challenging… and apparently, no footwear too fabulous for fieldwork!

Looks like Bella our office dog ran this morning’s staff meeting… and things got serious. 🐶📋

Her first order of business?

“On Wednesdays, we now wear yellow.”

No discussion. No amendments. Motion carried. 😂

She also proposed:
🐾 Treat breaks every hour
🐾 Unlimited pats during work hours
🐾 All meetings to finish early for walkies
🐾 Anyone not wearing yellow must explain themselves directly to Bella

We’re not entirely sure when Bella was promoted to management… but judging by that chair, she’s clearly calling the shots now. 👑🐶

🏆 STOP THE PRESS… WE WON A TROPHY! 🏆

We found out this morning we came last at the Ipswich Legacy Charity Golf Day - but luckily, last place came with a trophy for the Highest Score! 😂⛳

Apparently, in golf, the lowest score is supposed to win. That feels like information we should’ve found out before we started.

Were we good at golf? Absolutely not.
Did we come last? Absolutely.
Did we still leave with a trophy? You bet we did! 🏌️‍♀️🏆

A trophy is a trophy!😂

What a fantastic day representing Aussie Angels at the Ipswich Legacy Golf Day 2026! It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with our local community, support an incredible organisation, and enjoy a great day on the course.

While we're experts in providing exceptional care, we quickly discovered that our golf skills might need a little more practice... let's just say we were much better at providing care than finding the fairway! 😂🏌️

A big thank you to Ipswich Legacy for hosting such a fantastic event and to everyone who stopped by for a chat. We're proud to support initiatives that make a positive difference in the lives of veterans and their families.
