We see this (and here this) time and time again from women in clinic who strength train during pregnancy, the evidence also supports what we see in real life:

- easier recovery
- more physically confident and able in those first few weeks postpartum
- less abdominal separation or greater tension at linea alba
- better ability to engage pelvic floor and lower abdominals
- if laboured, greater endurance for active birth
- if c-section, greater strength and confidence to gently mobilise early (so many benefits here post surgery)
- greater confidence in return to exercise

Let alone the benefits during pregnancy! Whilst nothing 💯 guarantees what birth or postpartum will look like for you, and so many factors other than exercise come into play, it is definitely one big piece of the puzzle which can have longterm effects 💪🏼

If you are able to exercise in pregnancy, it honestly has a much longer lasting effect than just ‘pregnancy exercise’.

Bump Strength - one of Blooms original classes and Naomi’s absolute favourite to grow, develop, plan and implement evidence based exercise prescription for women during pregnancy.

Our classes are for anyone who is pregnant, but particularly those who:

- are a bit unsure about exercising whilst pregnant
- haven’t exercised in a while
- want to meet other expectant mums
- are experiencing some discomfort you’re not sure how to work with
- those who have been through fertility challenges or treatment and need a little more support

A new option at Bloom.

Bloom Clinical Strength is our small-group strength and rehabilitation class designed as a step between 1:1 exercise physiology support and independent or larger group training.

With a maximum of 3–4 women per class, you’ll continue working toward your own individual rehab and strength goals with closer guidance, supervision and support from your exercise physiologist.

✔ Individualised programming
✔ Small-group environment
✔ Exercise Physiology led
✔ Structured progression
✔ Women’s only

This class may suit you if you:
• are transitioning from 1:1 rehab
• want more support than larger classes
• are rebuilding confidence with independent strength training
• are returning after injury, postpartum or time away from exercise
• want a more guided approach to strength training

A supportive middle step between rehabilitation and independent training.

New block focus: Bench Press

Upper body strength matters more than we often realise.

Pushing strength supports so many parts of daily life — getting up from the floor, carrying kids, lifting groceries, moving furniture, pushing prams, and feeling capable in your body as life gets physically demanding.

This block is about building that foundation.

We’ll be focusing on:
• Bone loading through the upper body and spine
• Building and maintaining muscle mass as hormones shift
• Developing pressing strength and upper body power
• Shoulder stability and confidence under load
• Strength that carries into everyday life

All through progressive, well-structured bench press work — meeting you where you’re at.

Already training? You’re set.
Taken a break? This is a beautiful place to come back in.

Mum’s Strength Foundations 🤍

The next step in your return to strength after pregnancy and birth.

Our next block begins Friday 29th May 10:30am for 6 weeks.

This program is designed for mums who are:
✨ Over 12 weeks postpartum
✨ Finished Postnatal Reset or early rehab
✨ Cleared by their physio or exercise physiologist for weight based exercise.
✨ Ready to rebuild strength progressively and safely
✨ Wanting guidance, confidence, and support returning to exercise

We focus on building strong foundations, improving confidence in movement, and gradually progressing strength in a way that works with your body — not against it.

A short Postnatal Review is required before progressing into this level so we can reassess your core and pelvic floor coordination, check movement patterns, and ensure training is appropriate for your body and goals.
