Hardest post we have ever had to write.
Rest in Peace to our dear friend Brendan O’Connor.
BO’C was one of the most gifted tattoo artists of our time.

We had the privilege of working alongside Brendan for many years — not just at Compass, but long before that at Ultimate Image Tattoo. It feels like we grew up together in this industry. Brendan was always so hungry to learn and tattoo as much as he could. Ipswich 20 years ago was the perfect place for a young, driven artist — and he absolutely smashed it. He must have tattooed half of Ipswich twice over.

After going our separate ways for a time, you can imagine how special it was to bring it all back together when BO’C returned to Compass. It truly felt like the dream team again.

But our friendship with Brendan was so much more than tattooing — he was our brother. The memories we’ve shared… the laughs, the tears… nothing will ever fill the space he’s left behind.

To everyone who knew Brendan, who was tattooed by him, and who loved him — We am so deeply sorry for your loss. This one hurts in a big way.

Rest in Peace, BO’C.
