Chair Groove Canberra - we laughed, we moved, we grooved. Thank you ladies for coming to the chair for wellbeing and connect with others. A delicious morning tea WAS included and huge thanks to Amanda for making her bliss balls (I’ve got the recipe so I think they will be a staple at future events). 🤩

So what actually happens in a Chair Groove playshop?

For starters, I call it a playshop because I would rather play than work! Wouldn't you? The program is designed to be 100% seated and as soon as you sit, everyone is equal. Also, your brain gets a lovely workout just figuring out new moves from your chair.

We begin with getting to know each other through some fun games. This is fantastic if you don't know anyone else - and here's a thing - I don't know anyone either! So we are all getting to know each other.

The music will start, and that's our cue to get our joints juicy during warmup. From then on, it's a mix of fun, interactive movements - some for the body; some for our brain. The music never stops and you may find yourself singing along to your favourite tunes. As we near the end of our time together, I'll guide you into a moment of calm and quiet.

And after all the fun, we will enjoy a delicious morning tea together and time for a deeper chat and more laughs. This connection is often where the magic really happens!

Yes it does. I am grateful to be in Canberra, travelling, dancing, moving, meeting up with friends, creating new ones. Doing what I love for which I am so grateful!!

Friday 21 November - instead of my usual Nia class on a Friday morning, Julienne and I are hosting a Yin yoga and sound bath session.

For those with current Nia passes (5 or 10 classes) you can use one of your passes for this. OR $20 on the door.

Please arrive by 8.50am to start class at 9am.
