Kinected Families - Services from July 2026

We're in ultimate planning mode for the new financial year, locking in some epic events, gatherings and offerings.

As such, I wanted to ensure my Kinected community is up to date with available services from 01 July 2026 until the end of the year.

Until November, I have no availability left for birth support, however I do have some availability for in-person adhoc or fortnightly postpartum and motherhood support.

From mid-December until mid-January (over school break) I'll be taking time off from in-home postpartum and motherhood support, but I will be available for on-call birth support during this time.

I've got some super exciting creative mother circle, workshop and gathering updates to share for things happening in the coming months - keep your eyes peeled for those!

Oh hello there, I’m Mia Slattery!

A mum of two, a certified birth + postpartum doula and a multi-discipline creative.

I only support one birth client per month, here’s why.

I run a small business called Kinected Collective, which brings together all of the above.

We are currently a one woman band,
but collaborate with a lot of other local businesses and people, hence the collective.

Our service area currently covers the Ipswich, Lockyer & Somerset regions of South East Queensland.

I’ve been obsessed with birth since my first baby was born over six years ago and now officially get to put the birth nerd in me to professional use.

As both of my little ones entered formal education this year, my capacity expanded to become certified & offer birth doula support alongside my postpartum support.

I am ever so stoked about it.

From home births, to inductions, to spontaneous hospital labours, to maternal assisted c-sections, I’ve supported a good mix already!

The support I provide is based on a continuity of care model.

As such, when I take on a birth client,
I don’t do it lightly. I meet face to face with potential birth clients way before onboarding them. I want them to quiz me, suss me out, challenge me & start to share more parts of them with me if it feels right.

We need to ensure we are the right fit for one another. I know some epic doulas to refer ladies to if we don’t match for whatever reason, dates, energy etc.

While I’d like to be super woman &
want to support absolutely every women ever, I am only human & am learning to find an equitable balance between work and play.

I have existing ongoing postpartum clients to support, creative projects to support, continual professional development to do, a family to show up for and a quirky nervous system to nurture.

PS. Knowing your EDD just allows me to apply a buffer of two weeks before and after for dedicated on-call.

The Art of Motherhood: Creative retreat for mothers

Mothers of any age, stage or season are welcome to attend. This is a child free event, however bubs in arms are welcome.

A creative sanctuary designed for the woman immersed in the role of mother, who is ready to carve out time for themselves and the spark that has been dormant for far too long.

No creative experience is required.
In a world that often demands we 'do' more, we invite you to simply 'be’ and see what happens creatively. This workshop is a safe and supportive space to process motherhood and work to redefine it as something akin to a creative practice.

This day is about reconnecting with your creative rhythm while taking home practical tips + tricks on how to reintroduce a spark of creativity into motherhood and your life holistically.

Using the intersection of intuitive movement, sensory-conscious design, and low-stakes artistic outcomes, we will set fire to the creative spark that is ready to be lit within every mama.

Lunch at Monte Lane is sorted and so are all the materials required, simply bring yourself, your funnest outfit and an open heart.

Investment: $112.50 per person (lunch & materials included)
