THE RIGHT SUPPORT CAN CHANGE EVERYTHING

For Katrina, getting out into the community hasn’t always been easy. But sometimes it’s not about what someone can’t do, it’s about finding the right support, building trust and discovering what makes them happy.

And for Katrina… shopping is definitely her happy place!

Since receiving support from iCare, Katrina has been taking some amazing steps towards her goals, getting out into the community and enjoying experiences that are meaningful to her.

These moments might look simple from the outside, but for Katrina they represent something much bigger, trust, confidence, choice, connection and progress.

A very special thank you to Jeanada and Rachel, who have taken the time to understand Katrina, build that relationship and support her in a way that works for her.

This is why individualised support matters. It’s not about fitting people into a routine; it’s about finding what lights them up and building their goals around the life they want to live.

And if that starts with a little retail therapy… we’re absolutely here for it!

A JOURNEY BUILT ON GROWTH, LEADERSHIP & DEDICATION

Today, we’re incredibly proud to celebrate Nikki and her role as National Operations & HR Manager at The iCare Group Australia.

Nikki’s journey with iCare began back in 2021 in Administration and what she has achieved since then is something truly worth celebrating.

Over the years, Nikki has grown alongside iCare. She has taken on new responsibilities, stepped into challenges, supported our people through change and become one of the driving forces behind our day-to-day operations.

She knows this organisation from the ground up.

She understands our people. She understands our participants. She understands the pressures our teams face and the importance of having strong systems, clear direction and genuine support behind them.

But what makes Nikki such an incredible leader isn’t simply how much she knows or how much she gets done.

It’s how much she cares.

She leads with strength, loyalty and determination. She advocates for her team, holds high standards and will always step in when something needs to be done. She has played an enormous part in helping shape the iCare we are today.

To go from Administration in 2021 to leading Operations & HR nationally is an incredible achievement and one that has been earned through years of hard work, commitment and belief in what we are building.

As iCare continues to grow across Australia, Nikki will play a huge part in leading our people, strengthening our operations and helping shape the next chapter of our organisation.

Nikki, we are so incredibly proud of you.

SUPPORT WORKER OF THE WEEK!

Trian hasn’t been with iCare for a long time, but in the time he has been with us, he has absolutely come leaps and bounds in his role as a Support Worker. Working predominantly out in the community, Trian has received some really lovely feedback from his colleagues about what it is like to work alongside him. His team have seen firsthand how much he has grown in confidence, capability and his approach to supporting our clients, and it has been fantastic to see that development in such a short period of time.

Trian has also earned himself a bit of a reputation for something we LOVE to see… AMAZING SHIFT NOTES! - His shift notes are consistently detailed, completed on time and properly saved and updated. We all know how important good documentation is, it helps us provide continuity of care, keeps everyone informed and, most importantly, ensures we have an accurate record of the supports being provided to our clients.

So, when someone is absolutely nailing their shift notes, we are going to celebrate it!

Congratulations, Trian! Thank you for the care you provide to our clients, for continuing to learn and grow as a Support Worker, for being a great person for your colleagues to work alongside and, of course, for officially becoming an iCare Shift Note Legend!

Meet Kiara! Our National SIL Manager.

Some people step into leadership roles.
Others were made for them.

We are incredibly proud to announce Kiara as The iCare Group Australia’s National SIL Manager.

And if you know Kiara, you’ll know exactly why we’re calling her an absolute powerhouse.

Kiara brings strength, passion, knowledge and an incredible work ethic to everything she does. She’s not afraid to roll up her sleeves, have the hard conversations, find solutions and get things done but behind that strength is someone who genuinely cares about our participants, our teams and the standard of support we provide.

In her new national role, Kiara will lead our Supported Independent Living services across Australia, helping ensure our homes aren’t simply places where people receive support, they’re places where people feel safe, respected, empowered and at home.

She leads with high expectations, a huge heart and a determination to keep raising the bar.

We’re growing. We’re evolving. And having strong women like Kiara leading the way is a massive part of where iCare is heading.

THROWBACK THURSDAY

Some photos are worth bringing back because they remind us what being part of a community is really about.

This was a special moment for our iCare team, presenting $400 raised for Claremont Special School. But for us, it was never just about handing over a cheque.

It was about showing up. Supporting our local community. Building relationships. And giving back to the people and organisations doing incredible things around us.

At iCare, we believe support extends well beyond the services we provide every day. We want to be part of the communities our participants, families and team call home.

And that’s something we’ll continue to build on.
