It was fantastic to host Andrew Thompson the President of the Queensland Association of Special Education Leaders (QASEL) at our St Andrews Private Hospital Ipswich location.

We loved Andrew’s passion for inclusion and we were excited to share some of our work including our partnership with Ramsay Health Care to provide employment opportunities for young people with disabilities. Looking forward to future collaborations 🙏👏.

A proud initiative of UnitingCare

💪 Final reps. 📚 Final Bookfest preparations. Our Project SEARCH interns have been part of Project Push Up for Lifeline all month, helping raise awareness and funds for mental health through The Push-Up Challenge.

Today, on Bookfest Eve, they completed their final reps among the rows of books that will soon help fund Lifeline's 24/7 crisis support service. Two great events. One mighty cause. 💙

🏋️‍♂️ The baton has officially been passed! 🏃‍♂️➡️🏃‍♀️

After leading by example in The Pushup Challenge, our UnitingCare Queensland CEO Ben Edwards is handing over the pushup power to our incredible Project SEARCH interns! 💪🔥

The challenge is on, and we can’t wait to see the energy, determination, and teamwork they bring to the event as they raise the bar higher and higher.

Good luck, team — we’re cheering you on every pushup of the way! 🎉

We can’t do what we do without strong industry partnerships. Thank you GenesisCare, Pablo and Matthew for being ambassadors for inclusion at The Wesley Hospital!

We’re proud to welcome Matthew to the GenesisCare Wesley team as part of Project SEARCH. A program that supports young people to build confidence, independence and workplace skills through real-world experience.

Working alongside our orderly, Pablo, and the wider team, Matthew has made a positive impact through his enthusiasm. From supporting patient interactions to assisting with cleaning, infection control and equipment handling, he is gaining hands-on experience across a range of tasks within our centre.

Programs like Project SEARCH play an important role in creating opportunities in inclusive workplace environments, helping interns develop transferable skills while building confidence for future employment.

A big thank you to Pablo and the Wesley team for fostering such a supportive and encouraging environment. Your mentorship and guidance are making a real difference.

Appreciation Post
🙏🙏👏👏🎉🎉

Joining our colleagues today at St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital Project SEARCH said thank you and celebrated the career and our long term partnership with Keith Munt as he retired from UnitingCare and the role of Food Services Manager and Head Chef.

Keith epitomises the words of kindness and inclusion. In Keith’s words:

“Thanks Cameron working with you and your team has meant a lot to me to be able to help people who may otherwise would not have this fantastic opportunity to grow and learn skills to enter the work force.”

Young people with disabilities that Keith and his team have trained have gone on to achieve fantastic employment success.

Keith’s impact, passion, humour, advocacy and humanity makes him one of the pioneers of Project SEARCH in Australia. Thank you Keith!
