Got pain, tingling, or numbness running from your neck into your arm?

Think of the nerves in your neck like one large pipe that branches into three smaller pipes travelling down your arm. If that main nerve gets irritated or compressed where it leaves the neck, it can send symptoms down any of those branches.

In this video, Dylan explains this concept in a simple way and demonstrates three nerve tension tests that help us assess the major nerves in your arm:

• Median nerve
• Ulnar nerve
• Radial nerve

These tests don’t diagnose the problem on their own, but they can give us valuable clues about where your symptoms might be coming from.

Want to target the upper part of your hamstrings? Here’s how.

The hamstrings span both the hip and the knee, which means different exercises emphasise different regions of the muscle.

If your goal is to target the proximal hamstring (the upper portion closest to your glute) you should focus on hip-dominant movements.

Our two favourites are:

✅ Romanian Deadlifts (RDLs) are a controlled hip hinge movement that places the proximal hamstrings under load through hip flexion and extension.

✅ Good mornings are another excellent hip-hinge exercise that challenges the upper hamstrings while also strengthening the glutes and lower back.

Because these exercises are driven primarily by the hip, they place greater demand on the proximal hamstrings. Strengthening this region can be an effective component of rehabilitation for some hip and lower back conditions, as well as improving overall posterior chain strength.

The right exercise, combined with the right diagnosis and rehab program, can make all the difference.

Your deltoid isn’t just one muscle. It’s made up of three distinct parts, and each has its own primary function:

➡️ Anterior (front) deltoid is responsible for lifting your arm in front of you (front raises).

➡️ Lateral (middle) deltoid is responsible for lifting your arm out to the side (lateral raises). This is the muscle that creates broader-looking shoulders.

➡️ Posterior (rear) deltoid is responsible for moving your arm backwards (shoulder extension and horizontal abduction), which is why exercises like rear delt flyes are so effective.

The biggest mistake people make? Treating the shoulder as one muscle and only doing pressing exercises.

If you want well-rounded, balanced shoulders, make sure you’re training all three heads through their primary movements ☺️✌🏻

She is our physiotherapist extraordinaire! She is an expert at post surgical rehab and treating patients with vertigo or severe dizziness.

She also specialises in treating chronic tendon pain including achilles, patella, tennis and golfers elbow, glute and shoulder tendon injuries.

Outside of this, she is actually the best human being ever 🙌🏻☺️

Does your knee hurt every time you leg press? Try this before giving up on the exercise.

A common mistake is bringing your knees too far into deep flexion, especially if you already have pain around the front of the knee.

❌ Deep knee bend = more compression through the front of the knee, which can aggravate symptoms for some people.

✅ Instead, limit the depth to around 90° of knee bend. You’ll still train your quads and glutes effectively while reducing unnecessary stress on the front of the knee.

Remember: Pain doesn’t always mean you need to stop the exercise. It often means you need to modify it.

Small changes in technique can make a huge difference, allowing you to keep building strength without constantly flaring up your knee ✌🏻🫶🏻
