Are you tired of navigating support systems on your own? 💜

The phone calls.
The paperwork.
The constant explaining yourself.
Trying to hold everything together while already overwhelmed.

Are you looking for someone who actually listens?
Someone who advocates for you?
Someone who helps make the NDIS feel less stressful and more human?

That’s why we have Narelle — our neuroaffirming Support Coordinator ✨

She just gets it.

The calm in the chaos.
A Support Coordinator who genuinely cares and helps people feel supported, understood and not so alone in it all 💜

Because good Support Coordination isn’t just about services.

It’s about having someone in your corner who truly cares.

Believing in yourself is powerful.
But imagine having a whole Sisterhood behind you that believes in you too.

A group of women cheering you on when you're doubting yourself. Celebrating your wins, no matter how big or small. Reminding you of your strengths on the days you forget them. Encouraging you to step outside your comfort zone and try something new.
Sometimes confidence doesn't grow because we suddenly believe in ourselves.
Sometimes it grows because we're surrounded by people who believe in us first.

That's the magic of Sisterhood. 💜

What a fantastic first networking event for My Choice Disability Support!

Yesterday was everything we hoped it would be — relaxed, neuroaffirming, welcoming and full of genuine connection.
We spent the afternoon chatting, laughing, sharing lunch and getting to know the incredible people who make up our sector. Everyone had the opportunity to introduce themselves, talk about what they do and share a little about their journey.
One of my favourite parts was learning more about the amazing humans behind the services, catching up with familiar faces, meeting new people and finally putting faces to names after so many online conversations.
There is something really special about bringing like-minded people together in a space that feels comfortable, authentic and free from pressure. Just good people having real conversations.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make our very first event such a success. We can't wait to do it all again.

Our next networking lunch is happening next Wednesday in Ipswich, and we'd love to see you there - https://www.eventbrite.com/o/120827311800?aff=ebdsshandroid

Not every support worker is built for SIL.

Because real support isn’t just showing up.
It’s understanding people.
Reading the room.
Navigating emotions.
Supporting independence.
Helping someone feel safe in their own home. 💜

At My Choice Disability Support, we are looking for experienced female support workers across Logan, Greenbank & Jimboomba who genuinely understand:
✨ Mental Health
✨ SIL household dynamics
✨ Personal care support
✨ Emotional regulation & communication
✨ Encouraging independence
✨ Building confidence & connection

We want go-getters.
The kind of support workers who don’t just “do shifts”…
but actually help participants grow, connect with others and feel empowered in everyday life.

The kind of workers who:
✔️ Bring calm energy into a home
✔️ Understand boundaries & household dynamics
✔️ Encourage participants to hit goals
✔️ Support community access & social connection
✔️ Know how to balance fun, structure and support

This role is for humans who truly care.
Who understand that disability support is about people first — always.

If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you, please forward your resume and small paragraph about your expereince to us. 💜

Finding the right Supported Independent Living (SIL) home isn’t just about finding a room.

It’s about finding a place where someone feels safe enough to finally relax 💜

A home where people are understood.
Supported.
Included.
And encouraged to be themselves.

Our Albany Creek SIL home is designed for people who want more than just “support.”

They want:
✨ Genuine connection
🏡 A calm and welcoming home
🌈 Neuroaffirming and qualified support workers who actually get it
🤝 A team focused on independence, confidence and everyday living
💜 A space where they feel comfortable being themselves

This home may suit participants looking for a smaller shared living environment with 1:2 support and a strong focus on compatibility, connection and personalised support.

Because the right home can change everything.

At My Choice Disability Support, we believe SIL should feel human-first — not clinical.

💜 Meet Narelle — Our Support Coordinator 💜
One thing we hear all the time is just how exhausted people are trying to navigate the NDIS on their own.

Chasing providers. Repeating their story over and over. Trying to understand funding. Holding everything together while already feeling overwhelmed.
That’s where Narelle steps in ✨
Narelle is the kind of Support Coordinator who genuinely cares about the humans behind the plans.
She helps participants and families: 🌈 Navigate the NDIS in a way that actually makes sense
📞 Follow up providers and supports
🤝 Advocate when things feel too hard
🏡 Explore housing and support options
💜 Build support teams that feel safe and supportive

✨ Take some of the stress and pressure off families and participants
Sometimes the biggest support isn’t “more services.” It’s having someone in your corner helping guide the chaos and reminding you that you don’t have to do this alone.
That’s what good Support Coordination should feel like 💜
