🚨 If you haven’t heard already, changes are coming to NDIS Social and Community Participation funding — and participants need to be prepared.

For many participants, the amount and way Social and Community Participation supports are funded is going to change.

At Regional Disability Support Services, we’re preparing now. 💜

We’re looking at how participants can continue getting out and participating in their community.

✅ Backup staff and continuity of support

Using an independent support worker?

Independent support workers can provide great support, but the NDIS is moving toward greater registration, oversight and accountability across the sector.

That means now is the time to understand the changes and make sure you have options.

And remember good documentation matters. At RDSS, our supports are backed by comprehensive case notes and evidence of what was delivered and how it relates to your goals. 📋💜😎

YP Support Hub is a welcoming space for people with disability across the Copper Coast to come together, build skills, make connections and enjoy meaningful activities.



Our Monday–Friday program offers a variety of activities designed around participant interests, strengths, goals and ideas, including:

🌱 Gardening & Outdoor Activities
🎨 Creative Studio
🏡 Life Skills & Community Participation
💻 Technology & Innovation



We believe learning doesn't have to happen in a classroom. Participants have opportunities to learn through doing, creating, exploring and being part of their community.



🌏 Celebrating Our Community & The World

Throughout the year, we'll incorporate International Days, awareness days, seasonal celebrations and local community events into our programs.

From celebrating World Environment Day and International Space Week, to getting involved in local sporting events, community festivals, markets and activities happening across the Yorke Peninsula, we'll use these opportunities to learn, explore and connect with the wider community.

Participants will have opportunities to suggest activities, choose projects, learn new skills and work together on longer-term projects.

Whether you're interested in getting active, growing something, getting creative, learning technology, cooking, exploring the community or simply meeting new people, there's a place for you at YP Support Hub.

Regional Disability Support Services is looking to connect with NDIS providers who have current capacity to accept Support Coordination referrals in the Kadina, Wallaroo and surrounding Copper Coast region.

Due to an increase in Support Coordination referrals, we are looking to strengthen our local provider network and establish referral pathways with providers that have capacity to accept new Support Coordination participants.

🚑🚒🚓 Today, on Thank a First Responder Day, we recognise and thank the paid and volunteer first responders who support our communities in times of need.

As we also acknowledge the International Year of Volunteers, we extend our appreciation to all volunteers who’s time, commitment and service make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

A special thank you to the Kadina CFS, Moonta MFS, Kadina SAAS and Kadina SAPOL teams for welcoming our participants, sharing your knowledge, and providing an opportunity to learn more about the important work you do.

😊🎓 Congratulations to all graduates of the 2026 Career in Care Program 🎓😊

Regional Disability Support Services was proud to be invited to be part of today’s graduation ceremony and to support a program coordinated by Regional Development Australia Yorke and Mid North, alongside a number of local organisations committed to building the future workforce within the care and disability sector 😊

It was great to see so many people completing the program and taking the next step into the industry. We look forward to seeing many of these graduates working across the care sector in the future 👏💙

🚨💜 Thinking about supports? Now is the time to act while we still have some capacity available, as demand for registered NDIS providers continues to grow and our services remain busy! 🏡✨

Big changes are happening across the NDIS sector following the new NDIS Integrity and Safeguarding Act 2026. 📋⚖️

The changes bring a much stronger focus on:
✅ participant safety
✅ provider accountability
✅ documentation and compliance
✅ staff training and governance

The sector is also moving toward mandatory NDIS registration for many providers and support types, reinforcing the importance of quality systems, safeguarding, and accountability across disability services. 🤝💜

At RDSS, we welcome these changes. As a registered NDIS provider, we’ve continued strengthening our systems, staff training, safeguarding practices, and documentation standards to ensure participants receive safe, high-quality supports. 🌱📚🛡️

Our focus remains the same:
