A lot of “normal” horsemanship is simply tradition, repetition passed down, not really examined.
When you pause and actually watch horses, many of those habits stop making sense.

Regen ag is all about improving soil health

I am learning to look at our paddocks differently.
Not just as somewhere to put the horses.

But as a living ecosystem that we have a responsibility to care for.

And that is changing everything.

🐴🌿👩‍🌾 This video changed everything, it helped me realise my part in the process, and that I had to make radical changes to best support The Herd.

The paddock is full of green, but its not eatable, 85% of The Herd's paddock they can't eat, and I spend a fortune on feed, hay, and supplements to keep them healthy,

For almost a life time, I followed the masses, did what the Joneses did, I applied what I learned from other horse keepers, and the more I did this the more I knew there had to be others ways, that actually support the horses needs, not just my convenience.

JUST putting horses in a paddock and hard feeding them is simply not enough for them, the land or us humans.

Then I came across regenerative farming, the penny finally dropped.....I got it,

I have to contribute, be an active regenerative part of the system that keeps us alive......NATURE
if I want us to thrive!

and this is now my mission.....
to learn, grow, and create The Herd a healthy self-supporting pasture and paddock. 💚
