I had a great meeting with the Clinical Support Officer from MediRent today.

Do you know what I'm talking about?

**Sequential Intermittent Pneumatic Compression (SIPC)** ❣️
Also known as a **compression pump**.

Until now, I have mainly worked with Lympha Press and have had a unit available at my clinic for clients to trial. However, I found that therapist support and clinical education were somewhat limited.

That's why I've decided to partner with **MediRent**.

I was genuinely impressed by how lightweight and comfortable the garments feel, and the machine itself is much easier to operate.

I'll soon have a MediRent rental unit available in my clinic for clients to try. Initially, this will be for **lower limb treatment only**.

If you'd like to experience a MediRent compression pump, please get in touch. While you're using the pump, I can work on other areas such as your arms, face, or torso—so you won't be left alone in a room during your session!

As their name suggests, MediRent offers a rental system, making it easier for clients to access treatment at home. Their rental options are very flexible, and they also provide excellent educational resources and clinical support for therapists.

With this combination of rental access, ongoing education, and professional support, I'm confident I can provide an even better service to help manage your lymphatic and swelling concerns.

The 16th Australasian Lymphology Association conference in Cairns wrapped up.

It was a full-on-4day learning opportunity. This time, we particularly learnt a lot about wound/scar care, cellulitis, obesity and Lymphoedema/Lipoedema, drug-induced lymphoedema, waist-hight ratio, psychological approach, surgical debunking, LVA and aged care &lymphoedema.

As always, it was good to catch up with the therapist friends and also connect to new therapist friends.

Tropical Cairns was beautiful, but I’m glad to come back home, too😊

GLP-1, including Ozempic and Mounjaro, is one of the hottest topics nowadays.

Here is some information about it from a blog of Megan Pfeffer, the Nutritionist.

GLP-1 weight loss drugs are generating enormous interest worldwide — and many women with lipoedema are finding themselves under significant pressure from doctors and surgeons to take them, often before liposuction surgery. But are they always appropriate, and what are the real risks for women with...

Dr Vodder Schools International holds a regular Zoom sessions for the accredited members, inviting very knowledgeable guest presenters.

This month, it was about "Gut health, Intestinal Lymphatics and Lymphedema: Emerging Evidence and Practical Insights" having Jean from Canada.

I knew that the long-chain fat acid gets absorbed via Lymphatic system, but my knowledge between diet and lymphatic system was pretty limited.
It's very complicated but is super interesting.

I am sure you find it interesting, too.

I have been looking after a lot of clients after their cosmetic/ plastic surgery.
Here are some evidence why MLD (Manual Lymph Drainage) is essential after the surgery.
BUT Pre-operative MLD is as important as post-operative MLD in order to prepare your body for upcoming surgery by activate your lymphatic system.

For health professionals in the aesthetic and plastic surgery space, achieving optimal client satisfaction involves a comprehensive, evidence-based post-operative recovery plan. While transient swelling is a usual and expected consequence of body-altering procedures, the management of early post-ope...

Intuition.

I didn’t know that this exists until I took the courses of Creniosacral therapy course 12 years ago.

Culturally, or maybe because of my age group, I cared the harmony of community/ society over myself, but I must admit that I was feeling emptiness inside myself.

Intuition is different to gut feeling. It has more fullness, I guess.

What is your intuition telling you now? Does it tell you “go softer”?

When I started learning about Oncology massage before creniosacral therapy , that was when I learned what the soft touch can do. It was a big turning point for me when I was a typical remedial massage therapist.

Go softer doesn’t mean you are a softy. Like MLD. It might be soft but can be poweful.

This is a little bit different post, but I thought I wanted to share my thoughts at the begging of 2026.

I had a huge week this week, the first week of 2026 at the clinic. I saw about 40 people in my room.
Hope you all are having a good start of the new year, communicating with your intuition💞

Happy New Year to all😊

【New Service】

✨ Happy New Year, everyone ✨
I hope 2026 has started well for you.

As I reflected at the end of 2025, I decided to introduce something new this year.

For the past 3–4 years, my schedule has been fully booked, and through that experience I realised I can offer something a little more — and a little different — to better support clients with ongoing and complex conditions.

🌿 Introducing a Treatment Series Package

For many chronic or complex conditions, a single 60-minute session per week is often not enough to see meaningful progress or to work effectively toward a goal.
To address this, I have created a treatment series with extra appointment spots outside my usual clinical hours.

Available times:
• Monday 4:00pm
• Wednesday 11:00am
• Friday 4:00pm

The initial consultation is 60 minutes.
Follow-up sessions are 40–45 minutes.

3 appointments per week:
💲 $310 + GST (Total $341)

This treatment series may be beneficial for:
• Stroke with hemiplegia
• Tinnitus
• Ménière’s syndrome
• Stress-related migraine
• Bronchitis
for example.

The following conditions can also be supported in the acute stage:
• Adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder)
• Concussion
• Whiplash
and many more.

Recent studies show that Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) can assist in clearing metabolic by-products from the brain, making it a valuable approach for brain injury support.

About 40% of my clients live with Lipoedema.

I hear their struggles, support them, and treat them with MLD and other therapies — but their personal stories always remain private within my clinic room.

Lipoedema can feel incredibly overwhelming, and that’s why connecting with the Lipoedema community is so important. Sharing experiences helps people feel seen, supported, and understood.

Here, Ashley — one of my long-term clients — opens up on this podcast about her Lipoedema journey. She talks about the progression of her condition, the emotions she navigated, her surgery, the preparation involved, and so much more.

Please have a listen and feel connected. 💛
