Investing in our people. Investing in better care. 💜

Recently, 27 members of the Embrace Healthcare Solutions team completed our Introduction to Palliative Care training, facilitated by Dr Brian Nyatanga, an experienced nurse, academic, author and palliative care specialist.

Across the programme, our team explored what compassionate palliative and end of life care really means; dignity, comfort, quality of life, communication, grief and bereavement, cultural safety, family support and the importance of responding to difficult conversations with empathy and humanity.

We were also privileged to receive support from the WA Country Health Service - Pilbara Palliative Care Team, who contributed a dedicated session covering pain and symptom assessment, diagnosis, and palliative complications and emergencies, with discussions tailored to the needs of participants we support.

Following the training, Dr Nyatanga published a beautiful reflection, “How to Live Well Until the Very End.” This is the first in a series of his articles that we look forward to sharing with our wider community.

His article reminds us that living well, ageing well and dying well are not separate parts of life, but chapters of the same story; and that compassion, relationships, curiosity and kindness remain important throughout that journey.

We would love to share Brian's article with our staff, families and wider community.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr Brian Nyatanga and the WA Country Health Service - Pilbara Palliative Care Team for sharing their knowledge and expertise, and to every member of our team who participated so openly in these important conversations.

Because investing in our people means investing in better care for our community.

🎓 Investing in the future of care starts today.

At Embrace Healthcare Solutions, we believe that the future of healthcare and community services in the Pilbara will be shaped by the people who choose to live, learn and build their careers right here.

That's why we're proud to once again partner with the Pilbara Kimberley University Centres (PKUC) to offer our Embrace Healthcare Solutions Enabling & Emerging Healthcare Professionals Scholarships.

This year, we're supporting four scholarships

💜 2 × $1,000
💜 2 × $4,000

These scholarships are designed to support students pursuing careers in healthcare, nursing, disability, aged care, mental health, youth and community services helping grow the next generation of professionals who will care for our communities.

For us, this is about more than financial support. It's about investing in local people, strengthening our regional workforce, and creating opportunities for future healthcare professionals to thrive in the Pilbara.

📅 Applications close 30 September 2026.

If you, or someone you know, is studying and passionate about making a difference in the lives of others, we'd love to encourage you to apply.

🌅 When the sun goes down, our team rises up.

At Embrace Healthcare Solutions, we believe that the quality of care we provide begins with the way we care for our own people.
We strive to foster a workplace built on kindness, respect, professionalism, and genuine support because when our team feels valued, they're empowered to deliver the very best care to our participants.

Our recent Sundowner was a simple but meaningful reminder of that. As the sun set over Karratha, our team came together to share a meal, catch up, and enjoy each other's company away from the day-to-day demands of work. These moments matter. They strengthen relationships, build trust, and remind us that we're more than colleagues, we're a team united by a shared purpose.

Because when the sun goes down... our team rises up. 💜
Thank you to every member of the Embrace family for the commitment, care for our community, compassion and care you bring to our participants and to one another every single day.

💙 Meet Amanda

Some people find a job. Others find their calling.

Amanda is one of those special people who brings kindness, compassion, and genuine care to every participant she supports. She believes in building trust through patience, seeing people’s strengths, and making every person feel valued and respected.

One of Amanda’s favourite reminders of why she does what she does came from a participant living with dementia, who simply said, “Thank you for looking after me. I love you.” ❤️

We’re incredibly grateful for Amanda’s dedication and the positive difference she makes every day. Thank you for living the Embrace values of Compassion and Excellence.

Harmony Week is a special time for us at Embrace, because diversity is at the heart of care.

Australia’s care workforce is built by people from many cultures and backgrounds, with many care workers having migrated here to build a better life while also caring for others.

This Harmony Week, we are proud to celebrate David Appiah, one of our valued support workers, who migrated from Ghana to build a life for his family and to serve the community he now calls home. His wife, Anastasia, also works in care through child care, and together they represent the compassion, resilience and contribution that make our communities stronger.

At Embrace, we are grateful for David and for all the care workers from around the world who help support children, older people, and people living with disability every day.

This week, we celebrate harmony, belonging and the many people who make Australia’s care economy so special. We also wish for peace and harmony across the world.

Today we celebrate the incredible women who make Embrace what it is.

Women represent 65% of our workforce, and every day they show compassion, strength, and dedication while supporting people across our community.

To all the women who care, support, lead, and make a difference. We celebrate you!

Happy International Women’s Day 💜
