Since the very beginning of my acupuncture career 2 decades ago, I have mainly worked with people who have experienced physical and /or emotional trauma. Although trauma usually requires a multi-modality approach, acupuncture has proven to be extremely beneficial regardless of what other interventions the person was utilizing or the type of trauma they experienced.
The trauma may have occurred recently or long ago, it is never too late to help the body and mind process the event/s or to help re calibrate it so it can function in a less reactive way. Physical activity can and should be enjoyable. Dancing is fabulous. It can be done in a group/class, at home with family members or in complete solitude when no one is watching.... Whatever suits you best, just don't deprive yourself of getting into the groove...💃

Dance is a form of aerobic exercise that has physical, mental, and emotional benefits. It's great for both kids and adults and can build strength and balance as well as self-esteem.

I recently bought a jar of organic kimchi at the local farmers market. I eat it with almost anything. I have always loved fermented foods and I love making them when I have the inspiration and time on my hands.
We have all heard about the need to add fermented foods to our daily diet. For some this is easy, our pallets welcome these. For others it is more of a challenge. The good news is that in most cultures we can find their local version of these boosters of microflora and gut enhancers, so everyone is bound to find something that suits their taste; from sauerkraut, sourdough bread and kefir in the West to kimchi, miso, tempeh and soy sauce in the East. You have probably heard of these foods, but there are dozens of other fermented options available from every continent around the world.
In the link below you can read more about the merits of fermented accompaniments and you can start experimenting right away with what you have available in your pantry or local store.
