Cold and flu season what can you do?
One of the things I do is at the first sign for example an unusual headache or dry scratch throat, I get straight onto my essential oil’s.
This will stave off any impending virus but you must get onto it straight away before the virus multiplies.
Find the best quality oils I use young living but understand these are very expensive.
I recommend springfields which can be found in some health food stores or perfect potion a shop in Brunswick.
Easy to buy oils for colds and flus are
Thyme
Clove
Rosemary
Lemon
Peppermint
Basil
Cedarwood
Myrtle
Thyme and cove are hot oils so must be diluted. 5 drops in 1 tablespoon of carrier oil is best.
If you have sensitive skin use a carrier oil as above and also if using on children. If it is your first time using oils use a carrier oil before applying to the skin. Lemon is photosensitive so do not apply on places exposed to sunlight.
Vaporise oils in a vaporiser especially at night. You can use a single oil or a combination.
Apply to front and back of neck
and belly button.
You can also apply to chest and back if you are prone to getting chest infections.
For headaches I put a drop on my palm rub my palms together then hold the areas of my head that hurt. Peppermint is an excellent oil for headaches but I have used Thyme and basil too. Warning keep away from eyes.
