Our wonderful carer Piper is celebrating six years of caring for our residents at K-Life.

Piper is loved for her calm and reassuring personality, the genuinely personal care she provides and the many times she goes the extra mile to make life special for our residents.

And when we say “extra mile,” we really mean it—Piper once brought her horse right inside our Residential Aged Care facility! 🐴💚 It was certainly a memorable day and a beautiful example of the joy she brings to our residents.

🏊 WE’RE HIRING – CASUAL POOL LIFEGUARDS 🏊

The Killarney Swimming Pool is preparing to reopen for the 2026–2027 season, and K-Life is looking for enthusiastic and responsible Casual Pool Lifeguards to join our team from September 2026.

This is a wonderful opportunity to support water safety, community wellbeing and a welcoming pool environment for people of all ages.

💧 Casual positions
💧 $30–$34 per hour
💧 Morning, afternoon and weekend shifts
💧 Work within a friendly, community-focused team
💧 Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate—or willingness to obtain one
💧 Learn to Swim qualifications are advantageous

Applicants will also require First Aid qualifications, strong communication skills, good fitness and situational awareness, and a Blue Card.

If you are passionate about water safety, enjoy working with people and would love to spend the season at the Killarney Swimming Pool, we’d love to hear from you!

💦 Please join us in welcoming Bec to K-Life and Killarney! 💦

We are delighted to introduce Bec as the new Manager of the Killarney Community Pool.

Bec brings almost 21 years of experience in teaching, coaching and managing learn-to-swim programs and swimming squads. She is also close to completing her aquarobics qualification and is passionate about creating aquatic opportunities for people of all ages and abilities.

Bec has some exciting ideas for our community, including learn-to-swim programs, swimming squads, baby aqua play, junior lifeguard activities and pool lifesaving sport.

We are excited to have Bec join our team and can’t wait to see the pool continue to grow as a welcoming place for fun, fitness, learning and connection.

🧶🎶Many Hands, One Shared Achievement 🧶🎶

Our 2026 Jumpers and Jazz in July tree jumper, “The Sweetest Jam is Community - Where every ingredient belongs K-Life” was created through the combined efforts of K-Life residents, volunteers and staff.

From crafting and decorating to installation and our residents’ choir performance, everyone contributed something special. Receiving second prize in the Local Business category was a wonderful achievement—but the greatest reward was the connection, purpose and pride created by working together.

We’ve shared the full story on our website, including what this project taught us about volunteerism and the benefits of working towards a shared goal.
