We’d like to let our patients know that sadly, Dr Graham will be leaving us…
His last day at the clinic will be Friday the 11th September.

Important update for our patients – Medicare bulk billing

There has been a small change to the way Medicare bulk-billed consultations are processed.

👥 When you have a bulk-billed in-person consultation, you’ll now need to press a button on the EFTPOS machine to assign your Medicare benefit to the clinic. This is a quick and simple step and helps us meet the updated Medicare requirements.

📞 For Telehealth consultations, you’ll receive a text message after your appointment asking you to provide consent to assign your Medicare benefit to the clinic. Please follow the link in the SMS and complete the consent process.

This applies to all of our bulk-billed consultations.

Please be patient with our reception as we navigate this new process, we will try to make this as quick and seamless as possible. 🙏 We ask that you make sure you see reception on the way out after your consultations.

Thank you for your understanding and patience while helping us ensure we can continue to provide bulk-billed care to our patients 🧡

Booking Appointments 📆

When booking appointments with us, please be mindful of your needs and book appropriately. This helps ensure our doctors have enough time to effectively manage your concerns.

Please note, the doctor will request another appointment if there are too many concerns to be addressed in the scheduled time frame. As this can cause delays in our schedule and long wait time for other patients.

When booking online, be sure to pick the appointment that best suits your concerns. If you are ever unsure, please give our lovely reception a call.

Please see below our core appointment types.

📝Concerns = 1-2

This NAIDOC Week, we recognise 50 Years of Deadly - honouring the Elders, organisers, artists and communities who have carried NAIDOC forward, and celebrating the strength, culture and leadership of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today and into the future.

The 2026 artwork, Paralpi by Zaachariaha Fielding, speaks to movement, energy and continuity - carrying the stories of Ancestors forward while celebrating the creativity and cultural power of the next generation.

At Ochre Health, we acknowledge the privilege and responsibility of caring for more than 14,500 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients across our network. This week, and every week, we remain committed to listening, learning and working towards culturally safe, high-quality primary care with First Nations communities.

Today we're wearing red to support Bowel Cancer Australia's Annual Giving Day.

Bowel cancer is one of Australia's most diagnosed cancers, but it's also one of the most treatable when found early. As primary care providers across the country, GPs at Ochre see firsthand how much earlier detection can change outcomes.

If you're 45 or over, talk to your GP about bowel cancer screening. It could be one of the simplest things you do for your health this year.

Grab an apple, wear red, and help spread the word.

Today we were proud to welcome Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to the Sunshine Coast to celebrate the launch of the Caloundra Medicare Urgent Care Clinic.

This clinic marks an important national milestone, completing the Australian Government's commitment to establish 50 new Medicare Urgent Care Clinics during the 2025–26 financial year.

From 17 June 2026, local residents and visitors will be able to access fully bulk-billed urgent care for urgent but non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, with no appointment required – just a Medicare card.

The Caloundra clinic joins a national network that has already cared for more than 1.2 million Australians, helping people receive treatment closer to home while reducing pressure on busy hospital emergency departments.

Located in Little Mountain, the clinic is the first step towards a larger purpose-built Ochre Health Hub and Medicare Urgent Care Clinic planned for Aura, which will provide even greater healthcare services for this rapidly growing region.

A huge thank you to our doctors, nurses, practice teams, partners and Government stakeholders and especially Country to Coast QLD leaders Julie Sturgess CEO, Matthew Schull (Director Integration), and Robb Major (Regional Manager Sunshine Coast) for their professional and community first approach and partnership

The Medicare UCC at Caloundra is funded by Country to Coast Queensland through the Australian Government’s PHN program.
