Sometimes the practitioner becomes the patient...more often than not with me.
In December I came off my mountain bike. This was followed by a month or two of should pain and mild limitation in the gym. Today, my shoulder is pretty good. I have two issues with it. It's unstable over head and I cannot throw.
My suspicion is I have a labral tear.
As I am a bad patient, but a good physio I have not done any targeted rehab as of yet. However, I have a plan.
One thing I like about having the clinic .barbell is the freedom to keep rehab like real training, as it should be.
I've decided to progress with landmine presses as part of my rehab for a few reasons.
1- Not in full shoulder flexion (painful).
2- Scores a 5/10 for stability.
3- Good progressing towards OHP.
4 - new to me and easy to overload.
I can do these heavy so we will keep the frequency low (2x week) and progress from there.
My measure for how successful this ends up is whether or not I can do my over head work and throw firewood around at home.
Keep you posted 😶🌫️
