Jaw tension isn’t something most dancers are actively thinking about, but during busy periods, it may start to show up more than expected.
󠀠
As training and performance load increase, your body adapts to meet demand, not just in the areas doing the visible work, but across the whole system.
󠀠
Sometimes that may include the jaw.
󠀠
For dancers, these subtle changes may influence posture, breathing, and overall movement control, especially when recovery doesn’t quite match the load.
󠀠
This is something I really enjoy working through with dancers, understanding how their body is responding and helping them build the capacity to keep doing what they love.

Tayla is available for consultations at POC on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Please call the clinic on (03) 95801820 or email [email protected] with days and times to suit and we'll get back to promptly!
