Every patient deserves to feel safe, heard and cared for. 🩺💙

Today, for World Patient Safety Day, we recognise the importance of keeping patients at the centre of every decision, every conversation and every moment of care.

Patient safety is about more than policies and procedures. It’s about listening to our patients, understanding their needs, communicating clearly, checking the details and speaking up when something doesn’t feel right.

It’s about creating an environment where patients and their families feel comfortable asking questions, sharing concerns and being actively involved in their care.

Our team is committed to making every patient experience as safe, respectful and compassionate as possible because behind every procedure, appointment and interaction is a person who has placed their trust in us.

Thank you to our incredible team for putting patients first and for the care, compassion and attention you bring to every patient, every day. 💙

Because for us, it always comes back to what matters most: the best possible care for every patient.

Australia's healthcare landscape is evolving, and it was fantastic to be part of the conversation at the Short Stay Hospitals Forum 2026 in Melbourne.

Our Chief Financial Officer, Cameron Fuller, represented Nexus Hospitals as both a presenter and panellist, sharing insights on the intersection of partnership and financial sustainability, and joining industry leaders to discuss how we can overcome barriers together to strengthen the future of short stay healthcare.

The forum brought together hospital operators, surgeons, health insurers, investors and policymakers to explore the opportunities and challenges shaping Australia's day and short stay hospital sector. These conversations are essential as our industry continues to innovate and deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

At Nexus Hospitals, we're proud to contribute to discussions that help shape the future of healthcare and support sustainable models that deliver value for patients, clinicians and communities.

Thank you to Informa Australia for hosting another outstanding event and to everyone who shared their expertise and perspectives.

💚 Best possible care. Best possible you.

👁️ World Ophthalmologist Day | 8 August

Today we celebrate the ophthalmologists and eye care teams whose expertise helps protect and restore one of our most precious senses – sight.

While many people associate ophthalmologists with cataract surgery and vision correction, their impact extends far beyond the operating theatre. They play a vital role in preventing blindness through early screening and intervention, detecting serious health conditions such as diabetes and hypertension through routine eye examinations, caring for children with vision disorders, managing complex eye trauma, and driving research and innovation that continues to transform eye care.

Many ophthalmologists also dedicate their time to humanitarian outreach, helping restore sight in underserved communities, while mentoring and training the next generation of specialists who will shape the future of ophthalmology.

Today, we also recognise the dedicated nurses, anaesthetic teams and support staff who work alongside our ophthalmologists to deliver exceptional care every day.

💚 Thank you to all of our ophthalmology teams for your skill, compassion and commitment to improving lives through better eye health.

🦷 Dental Health Week | 3–9 August

This Dental Health Week, we're proud to support the Australian Dental Association's "Back to the Dentist" campaign, encouraging Australians especially young adults to make their oral health a priority.

Regular dental check-ups can help identify problems early, before they become more serious. Whether it's monitoring wisdom teeth, discussing cosmetic dental concerns with a qualified professional, or protecting your smile through sport with a custom mouthguard, getting back to the dentist is an important step towards lifelong oral health.

For patients who require specialist dental procedures, our hospital is proud to provide safe, high-quality day surgery in partnership with experienced dental and oral and maxillofacial surgeons.

A healthy smile starts with prevention. If it's been a while since your last dental visit, there's no better time to book an appointment.

👉🏼 Visit our website to learn more about our team of dental surgeons and their commitment to delivering exceptional oral healthcare and helping patients achieve healthier, more confident smiles.
