✨ Meet the Team – Charli ✨

I've been working in administration within the healthcare and disability sector for a little over a year, and I've loved being part of The Willow Tree Clinic team for almost five months. Prior to joining TWTC, I worked in administration with another provider, which gave me a great foundation and a real appreciation for the important role admin plays in supporting both clients and clinicians. 💚

I was drawn to this area because I enjoy working with people, solving problems, and helping things run smoothly behind the scenes. No two days are ever quite the same, and I love that my role gives me the opportunity to learn about all the different parts of the clinic while supporting our team and families. ✨

Outside of work, you'll usually find me baking something sweet, curled up with a good book, or spending time with my partner, friends, and family. I love a cosy night at home, but I'm always happy to try something new too! 🧁📚☕

My favourite part of working at The Willow Tree Clinic is definitely the team. Everyone is so welcoming and supportive, and there's always something new to learn. I also love the variety that comes with admin and the challenge of solving the occasional "admin mystery" along the way! 😂💛

✨Meet the Team – Andy ✨

🌿 How long have you been a Psychologist?
I’ve been working as a psychologist since 2017, beginning my provisional pathway in organisational psychology and occupational rehabilitation. A year later, I moved into more clinical work, supporting community programs, social supports, and directive therapy.
From there, I stepped into private practice, primarily supporting adolescents and adults.
Before entering the psychology world full‑time, I worked a wide mix of jobs throughout uni and also managed a nightclub before jumping into the psych space full time.

🌱 What inspired you to work in this area?
I’ve always been fascinated by the human body and health. Growing up, I was obsessed with sport and how we can have an impact on someone’s functioning and capacity. That curiosity led me to a crossroads between physical and mental health, and psychology became the path I wanted to explore. The more I learned about the science behind it, the more I wanted to explore and commit to the field.

🌼 When you’re not at work, what will we find you doing?
I’m usually spending quality time with my wife and two children, getting up to all sorts of fun, messy, and wonderful activities.
Otherwise, you’ll find me at the University of Newcastle Rugby Union Club — playing, coaching, or helping behind the scenes, including bringing psychological awareness and support to players and volunteers.
I’m pretty active and will play almost any sport, but I also love gaming to unwind after a big day. And of course, I enjoy catching up with mates, watching sport over a few beers, or sharing a good single malt with great company.

🌟 Favourite part about working at TWTC?
The team! Everyone brings a relaxed, open, and positive approach that makes the clinic such a supportive place to work. I enjoy the opportunity to broaden my horizons with our diverse client base, learn more about the paediatric space, and collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary crew.
I joined the TWTC journey early, and it’s been incredible watching the clinic grow, evolve, and expand the support we offer to the community.
