Therapy doesn’t have to feel like therapy. This legend isn’t a regular wheelchair user but today the wheelchair became a tool for learning. By weaving through cones and making split-second decisions about where to go next, he’s working on:
- Decision making
- Coordination
- Motor planning
- Visual processing
- Confidence
The best part? He’s having an absolute blast while doing it. When therapy is engaging and meaningful, people are more motivated to participate, challenge themselves, and keep coming back. Sometimes the biggest gains happen because someone is simply having fun. Every person learns differently. Our job is to find activities that match their interests while targeting the skills that matter most. Because the best therapy doesn’t just build ability, it builds enjoyment, confidence, and a love of movement.
