Junior Pharmacy Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking an energetic casual Junior Pharmacy Assistant to join Kuranda Pharmacy & Newsagency.
Available to work after school (3:00–5:30PM), Saturday mornings (8:15–1:00PM)
and available in school holiday times.

Preferably Year 10 & 11 students from Kuranda School as need to be available after school from 3pm (on the job training).
Ideal for students looking to gain experience in a friendly, professional environment.
You will be supported by the team in providing excellent service and assistance
to customers.
Your Duties:
• Provide outstanding customer service in the front of shop and on the front counter
• Process cash and wrap sales
• Assist the team with putting out stock
• Work with the team to assist in the delivery of pharmacy services
• Manage expectations of our valuable customers
Skills and Experience:
As training will be provided NO previous experience as a pharmacy assistant is needed;
• You will need to complete a very basic introduction to medication course
over 3–4 weeks (within working hours)
• Strong communication skills
• Willingness to learn and grow within the business
• Reliable and punctual.

We are raising awareness and much needed funds towards the Starlight Children’s Foundation this month along side The Lott.

Starlight brings fun, distraction, and joy to seriously ill children and their families during hospital stays.

The Lott has supported Starlight since 2008 and together with our customers at Kuranda Pharmacy & Newsagency we are hoping to raise a lot for this great cause.
