It works like this:

"Can you just tell me what needs to be done?" 🫣
If that single sentence makes your eye twitch, you are carrying the mental load.
The physical tasks of motherhood are exhausting, but it’s the unseen mental load that genuinely fries our nervous systems. It’s the constant tracking, planning, anticipating, and remembering everything for everyone, 24/7. It’s an enmeshed web of mental data that you can't just easily "delegate" away on a chore chart.
When your brain is entirely consumed by managing household logistics, your cortisol spikes, your digestion rebels, and your stress resilience drops to zero.
