To the dads, grandfathers, uncles, and father figures who show up each week – whether it’s at playgroup, during sessions, or in everyday moments of learning and play, thank you.

Your presence, patience and encouragement help children feel safe, confident and valued. The small moments you share make a lasting impact on their growth and development.

Today, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to our incredible playgroup facilitators.

Week in and week out, you create a safe, welcoming and inclusive space where children can explore, play, learn and grow.
Through your creativity, care and dedication, you’re not just running activities, you’re building confidence, curiosity and connection for every child and family who walks through our doors.

You are the reason our playgroups are filled with laughter, learning and meaningful moments.

This year’s theme, “The Future Starts With Us,” is a powerful reminder that every moment, every interaction, and every learning experience in the early years helps shape a child’s future.

And just like this theme reminds us… the future truly does start with you.

This week, we’re celebrating Speech Pathology Week and the many ways communication creates possibility in everyday life.

Across the week, each daily theme highlights how communication supports children to connect, learn, express themselves, participate, and build a sense of belonging.

All essential parts of growing, developing and thriving.

At Prelude Australia, we see these moments every day. Communication might look like a child sharing a choice, joining in play at playgroup, building friendships, understanding routines, or confidently expressing their needs. These small but powerful moments create big opportunities over time.

Our Speech Pathologists work alongside children and families in real places, doing real things, supporting communication in the environments where it matters most.

This Book Week, we're celebrating the theme, ‘Symphony of Stories’, a reminder that every story, every voice and every imagination contribute to something truly extraordinary.

At Prelude Australia, we love Book Week because stories help children learn, connect, imagine and make sense of the world around them.

Reading together creates opportunities for meaningful conversations, strengthens family connections and supports children's language, literacy and social development.

Whether it's a favourite bedtime story, a visit to the library or dressing up as a beloved book character, Book Week reminds us of the joy that books bring, and the powerful role families play in nurturing a lifelong love of reading.

Prelude Australia Playgroups are returning, and we can’t wait to welcome our families back for another term of connection, play and learning.

Our playgroups are free and inclusive, designed for all children from birth to 5 years (pre-school age). We offer a safe and supportive space where children can explore, grow and have fun, while families build connections within the community.
