⚡ Feeling tired, foggy or like you’re running on empty?
Sometimes the answer isn’t another coffee — it’s looking at what you’re putting on your plate.
The foods we eat can have a big impact on how we feel throughout the day. Choosing a combination of protein, healthy fats, fibre and nutrient-rich carbohydrates can help provide more sustained energy rather than the quick highs and crashes that can come from highly processed, sugary foods.
🥚 Eggs – A great source of protein, healthy fats and important nutrients including B vitamins, which are involved in energy metabolism.
🍌 Bananas – Provide carbohydrates for readily available energy, along with potassium and vitamin B6.
🥩 Lean red meat – Rich in iron, vitamin B12 and protein. Iron and B12 are particularly important for normal energy production and oxygen transport.
🥜 Nuts – Packed with healthy fats, protein, fibre and minerals such as magnesium. They’re a great option for a satisfying snack.
🫐 Berries – Full of fibre and antioxidants, while providing carbohydrates and natural sweetness. Add them to yoghurt or oats for an easy energy-supporting breakfast or snack.
🍠 And don’t forget foods like oats, sweet potato, avocado and Greek yoghurt — combining different food groups throughout the day is key.
✨ The goal isn't to eat “perfectly”. It’s to nourish your body consistently.
Regular balanced meals can help support your energy, concentration, mood and overall wellbeing.
If you’re constantly feeling exhausted despite eating well and getting enough rest, it’s worth looking beyond food too. Persistent fatigue can have many causes, including nutrient deficiencies, poor sleep, stress and underlying health conditions.
💚 Nourish your body. Fuel your day. Feel your best.
