🍴🌶️ New Leaf Cooking Group Goes Mexican! 🌶️🍴

Our New Leaf Cooking Group had a fantastic time exploring the flavours of Mexico this week while building important cooking skills along the way!

Participants learned how to safely toast and sear ingredients, developing confidence in using cooking equipment and understanding different cooking techniques. These valuable skills help build independence in the kitchen while encouraging creativity and teamwork.

On the menu were delicious Mexican Stuffed Capsicums, packed with flavour and made from scratch by the group. Everyone worked together to prepare, cook, and enjoy the meal, with plenty of laughter and learning throughout the session.

We love seeing participants grow their skills, try new foods, and gain confidence in a fun and supportive environment.

🌮 Well done to everyone who took part. We can't wait to see what culinary adventure is next!

🐾 Meerkat Monday with Leeann! 🐾

What a fantastic day of adventure and achievement for Leeann! 🌟

Leeann started her Monday with a stroll along the Anzac Bridge, keeping a lookout for whales. While the whales were a little shy, she enjoyed the fresh air, beautiful views, and getting some exercise.

Afterwards, we headed to Cameron Park Library for a very special task, putting the finishing touches on Leeann’s very own book! 📖✍️ After lots of planning, writing, and hard work, Leeann officially completed her book and even made sure the New Leaf office received a copy.

When asked what she thought of her finished masterpiece, Leeann gave it an impressive 10/10! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ She said she really enjoyed creating it, although she also realised that writing a book takes a lot of time, effort, and dedication.

We are incredibly proud of Leeann for sticking with such a big project and seeing it through to the end. Completing a book is an amazing achievement, and it shows what can be accomplished with persistence, creativity, and determination.

Congratulations, Leeann. We can't wait to see what you create next! 💚📚
