Had a lovely morning helping students from North Dandalup PS plant 500 seedlings, donated from πŸŒ³πŸ’šπŸ™πŸ»πŸ˜Š where I volunteer. I loved helping the students from year 3 dig and plant the seedlings around the town oval. Planting for future generations πŸ’šπŸ™πŸ»

The built environment. Sensory spaces. Your home. How the design of buildings impacts us as neurodivergent individuals... I'm a huge fan of Grand Designs Australia with host Anthony Burke. I'm curious to see how people design liveable spaces. What materials they use. Colour. Fabric. Patterns. Incorporating green space and blue space. Especially spaces that allow the flow of indoor to outdoor. Plants (lots of)! 🌱πŸͺ΄πŸ’š

How do you experience the built environment? What works for your neurodivergent needs? What doesn't work? What do you find overwhelming? What do you find soothing to your nervous system?

Flickering lights, windowless offices, overwhelming noise β€” bad building design affects everyone, but for neurodiverse people it can be exhausting. We explore how everyday design irritations are amplified for neurodivergent minds β€” and how the built environment can quietly work against the brain...

My other babies πŸ’šπŸŒ±πŸͺ΄ plus I also cut my hair so now I have a fringe again βœ‚οΈ totally unrelated to each other πŸ˜† just doing my morning check of my garden. Cold mornings can be deceiving. Plants esp potted plants still need water. But not so much when the weather gets cooler. If you're not sure, do the finger test! How damp is the soil? How much light do your plants receive now the sun is lower in the sky?

Hmm my mind is like "yes the cold weather has finally arrived" πŸ™ŒπŸ» πŸ”₯ but my body is like "yeah we're gonna throw a bit more Raynauds and circulation problems now it's colder"!! Not fun!! With hypermobility your collagen is faulty hence my veins can do crazy things like blue fingers, red nose and extremely cold toes πŸ₯Ά Do you also experience Raynauds or hypermobility flare ups when it's cold?

I love digging (pardon the pun) up research on therapeutic horticulture. Something I'm delving into more. Just waiting to enroll in horticultural studies and using my in-depth knowledge of mental health and psychology to support people from all walks of life and all abilities πŸ₯°

Damn proud of myself for completing another Grad Cert... this time in Mental Health with Southern Cross University. Studying at this level (post graduate) certainly is challenging but I've loved deep diving more into mental health... learning and gaining insight into the Australian MH system, examining topics such as eating disorders, autism, young people, acute mental health, risk assessments, the bio psychosocial approach, mental health across the lifespan, treatment plans, intergenerational trauma, MH in the community and NGO's and more... πŸ’š
