✨ Ferritin is the stored form of iron in the body. Hair follicles depend on the stores of iron to maintain the hair growth cycle. If your iron drops too low, the body priorities essential organs over hair. This can trigger shedding or slow growth. Usually 50-100ng/ml is considered optimal for hair growth.

Researchers Assessed 4 types of plant based diets:
✨ Overall plant based
✨ Pro-vegetarian
✨ Healthy plant-based (whole grains, fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds, legumes, tea and coffee)
✨ Unhealthy plant based (grains, potatoes, sugar drinks, fruit juices, sweets and desserts).

The top 3 groups showed slowing of the ageing gene changes.
The unhealthy plant based diet did not show the positive changes.

This study was observational and for proving the mechanics would need a detailed double blind longitudinal research program, but the authors of this study suggested a possible pathway.
