Three moments.
Three reminders.

🌊 Dive beneath the surface and discover what lies within.

🧭 Trust your compass, even when the destination isn’t clear.

🧘‍♀️ Share what you’ve learned along the way.

From the ocean depths to life aboard, and from student to teacher, each chapter has carried its own lessons.

The sea taught me to trust.
Yoga taught me to listen.
Together they taught me that the journey is often the destination.

What has been your greatest teacher?

Leanne 🙏

🦅 Eagle Pose (Garudasana) aboard Songlines

Finding balance on a moving catamaran adds a whole new layer to this traditional pose.

Eagle Pose invites us to draw inward, wrapping arms and legs to create strength, stability, and focus. As the arms entwine, the shoulders soften away from the ears while the elbows lift gently. The challenge is to keep the shoulders square and relaxed rather than rounded or tense.

Below, the feet and legs wrap firmly together, encouraging balance and connection through the standing foot. The hips stay as level and aligned as possible, helping to build strength through the legs and core.

A pose that teaches us to be both strong and soft at the same time — much like life at sea.

⚓ A little balance practice on the deck of Songlines.
🌊 Movement, breath, and ocean stillness.

Happy International Yoga day

International Yoga Day 🕉️ 21 June

Today I celebrate not just yoga, but the incredible people who have shared the journey with me.

From marina docks and yacht clubs to tropical islands and quiet anchorages, yoga has travelled with me across oceans and coastlines.

From teaching in Fiji at Vuda Marina, Musket Cove and Kokomo Island, to New Caledonia, Bundaberg Port Marina, Newcastle, the Queensland coast and countless island anchorages, I have been blessed to meet students from all walks of life.

Some joined me for a single class.
Others stayed for years.
Every one of you has been part of this story.

Yoga has never been about perfect poses.
It has been about connection.
Connection to breath.
Connection to ourselves.
Connection to each other.

Thank you for trusting me to share this path with you.

On this International Yoga Day, I send my love and gratitude to every student, teacher, sailor, friend and fellow traveller who has crossed my path.

May you be healthy.
May you be peaceful.
May you be strong.
May you always find your way home to yourself.

With love,
Leanne 🙏💙

How do you find peace?

You choose it.

Not because life becomes quieter.
Not because the waves stop rolling.
Not because every problem disappears.

Peace arrives when we stop waiting for the perfect moment and begin meeting this moment exactly as it is.

For me, it has often been found sitting beside the water, watching the boat swing gently at anchor, feeling the breath move in and out, and remembering that stillness was never somewhere else to reach.

It was always here.

💦 Peace isn’t found.
💦 Peace is chosen.

Rooted Like a Tree, Free Like the Sea

One of the greatest lessons yoga has taught me over the years is that balance isn’t about standing perfectly still.

It’s about learning to remain steady while life moves around you.

From practicing on the decks of sailing yachts, to teaching in island communities across the Pacific, Tree Pose has always reminded me that strength and softness can exist together.

Like a tree, we grow stronger through our challenges.
Like the ocean, we learn to adapt to changing conditions.

Whether you’re practicing on a yoga mat, a dock, or the deck of a boat, remember that balance is built gradually…one breath, one moment, one small adjustment at a time.

Stay grounded.
Stay present.
Trust your roots.

For years, I shared snippets of this journey through photos, blogs, and stories from the sea.

But some stories need more space.

This reel contains the words from the back cover of my memoir, read in my own voice while sitting quietly on the bow of a boat—a place where many of the lessons in this book were first learned.

If you’ve ever felt the pull to change direction, step into the unknown, or trust a quieter voice within, I hope you’ll take a moment to listen.

Sometimes the biggest journeys aren’t measured in miles.

They’re measured in who we become along the way.

🎧 Sound on.

Breathe in the ocean air as you gently stretch toward the sky, feeling the sand beneath you and allowing the mind to settle. Let the shoulders soften and relax, releasing any tension with each breath. As you gaze outward, find your horizon, and within that spaciousness, find your stillness. Rest here in calm awareness, embracing the peaceful rhythm of Yoga on the Water

Not every practice needs to be strong.

Not every day needs to be productive.

Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is simply pause long enough to notice what is already here.

Over the years I’ve practised yoga in studios, on docks, in island halls, and on the decks of boats swinging gently at anchor. What I’ve learned is that peace isn’t found in the perfect location.

It’s found in the moment we stop resisting where we are.

The sound of water.
The feeling of breath.
The warmth of the morning sun.
The simple gift of being alive.

Perhaps today doesn’t need fixing.

Perhaps today simply needs noticing.
