Wear It Purple Day is an opportunity to celebrate diversity, promote inclusion, and show support for LGBTQIA+ young people across Australia.

As professionals, colleagues, friends, and community members, we all have a role to play in creating environments where young people feel safe, respected, and valued for who they are.

A sense of belonging can have a profound impact on wellbeing, confidence, and mental health. By fostering acceptance and challenging discrimination, we help create spaces where everyone can thrive.

Today, we're wearing purple to stand alongside LGBTQIA+ young people and to support a future where every person feels empowered to be their authentic self.

Brain Injury Awareness Week 2026 | 17-23 August

This year's theme, "Brain injury: many pathways, one community," is a powerful reminder that no two brain injuries are the same.

As Behaviour Support Practitioners, We have the privilege of supporting people whose lives have been impacted by brain injuries. While every person's journey, challenges, strengths, and goals are unique, one thing remains constant: the importance of understanding, connection, and community.

Many brain injuries are invisible. The cognitive, emotional, behavioural, and physical impacts can significantly affect daily life, relationships, employment, and participation in the community. Yet these challenges are often misunderstood or overlooked.

During Brain Injury Awareness Week, we recognise the more than 450,000 Australians living with a brain injury and acknowledge the families, carers, advocates, and professionals who walk alongside them.

By increasing awareness, reducing stigma, and building more inclusive communities, we can help ensure that people living with brain injury have access to the support, opportunities, and understanding they deserve.

This week, I encourage everyone to take a moment to learn more, listen to lived experiences, and help amplify the voices of those affected by brain injury.

🌟 CRAMLI is heading to the National Education Summit Melbourne! 🌟

I’m excited to share that I’ll be presenting at this year’s Summit on the IRC—exploring how this practical framework can help educators respond to complex situations with greater clarity, consistency and confidence.

My session will connect evidence-informed practice with real-world application, offering practical strategies that educators and school teams can take back to their learning environments.

CRAMLI Psychological and Behavioural Services will also be exhibiting across the Summit. Come and meet our team, learn more about our work, and explore how positive behaviour support, professional development and practical resources can strengthen inclusion and wellbeing across educational settings.
