🎙️ What a HUGE show we had today on RPPFM - Your Peninsula Radio as we celebrated an incredible 150 shows of The Unexpected Journey! 🥳💜

A massive thank you to my beautiful co-hosts Tina Naughton and Monique Cain. I’m so grateful for the laughs, conversations and support we’ve shared along the way. 💕

We were also joined by two amazing guests. 🌟

✨ Lisa and Ally from BAM ARTS who spoke about the incredible work they do creating inclusive opportunities through the arts for people with disability. Their programs continue to build confidence, creativity, friendships and belonging in such a beautiful way. 🎭🎨🎶

✨ Umberine Williams from SIL Match who shared information about their new organisation helping participants and families connect with the right Supported Independent Living options and supports. Such an important service for our community. 🏡💙

And today we also took a moment to acknowledge and honour my beautiful friend Emmilia O’Sullivan, who we sadly lost last week. 💔
Emmilia was a beautiful soul who touched many lives and she will be deeply missed. Sending love to all who knew and loved her. 🕊️

Thank you to everyone who tunes in and supports our show each week. 150 shows is something very special and I’m so proud of what we continue to create together. 💜🎙️

What a great show we had today on RPPFM - Your Peninsula Radio with Andrew Hosking from Nurse Next Door 💜📻

It was wonderful hearing more about the amazing team, the locations they support, and why having local, personalised supports makes such a difference for families. We also had a great conversation around the care they provide across both the disability and aged care sectors, and the importance of connection, compassion and quality support.

It was such an in-depth and engaging conversation, and honestly, we could have easily spoken for another hour! 😊

Thank you so much Andrew for coming into the studio today and sharing more about the work Nurse Next Door do in the community.

Just a reminder, we won’t be on air next week, but Tina Naughton and I will be back in the studio on 2 June for another great show 💛🎙️

What a wonderful show we had today on RPPFM 📻✨

A huge thank you to Nicole Caldo from KUBE Therapy Co for joining Tina and me in the studio today. It was so lovely hearing more about the incredible services KUBE Therapy Co provide to the community and the thoughtful strategies they use when working alongside families 💛

We also had a really important conversation around Functional Capacity Assessments, how detailed they can be, why they matter so much, and some of the possible changes that may be coming in the future. While there is still a lot we don’t fully know yet, it was great to openly discuss what families may need to be aware of and consider moving forward.

These conversations are so valuable because they help families feel informed, supported and connected 🤝

Thanks again Nicole for sharing your knowledge and insights with us today.

Tune in again next week from 1 till 2 on RPPFM for another great conversation 🎙️✨
