🚨 Position Available: Piercing Apprentice 🚨
A very rare position is becoming available for a piercing apprentice to learn from Senior Piercer Lori Montgomery, one of the most experienced professional piercers in Australia. This is not a tattoo apprenticeship and it will not become a tattoo apprenticeship.
The successful candidate will be passionate about body modification and motivated to learn and take the initiative. It is very much our preference to NOT have prior experience, either self-piercing or working at chain store “piercing studios”. A background in retail or hospo translates very well, the role involves developing bedside manner and the ability to establish therapeutic relationships quickly - a bit of neurodivergence is fine (and probably ideal) but you can’t be shy or scared to talk to people.
The successful candidate will be fully vaccinated or willing to do so before starting, have a current first aid certificate, infection control training or willing and able to do so, and excited to be learning safe, diverse piercing techniques for all placements, hygiene protocols, jewelry handling, and studio maintenance including cleaning.
