What if you didn’t need to become more... just be more yourself?

Not by striving to be more, and not by doing more, but by paying attention to what feels true.

Letting go of expectations that no longer fit, and trusting your own voice. Making choices that align with what matters to you.

You don't have to be who you were, and you definitely don't have to be who others expect you to be.

Please pop this on repeat today ... I am becoming more myself 🧡

Every Tuesday and Wednesday evening, something wonderful happens at The HUB.

Women of all ages and backgrounds gather in a circle, pick up a drum, and create something magic together. It's not a performance, and it's not a competition. It is all about ... connection.

Some come for the drumming, some come for the laughter, and some come because it's one of the few places in the week where they don't have to be anything for anyone else (an intentional act of self-love).

The rhythm gives us something to focus on, the circle reminds us we're not alone and somewhere between the beats, conversations and shared smiles, a sense of belonging begins to grow.

I also want to say how grateful I am for these women, The DRUMETTES. Week after week they show up, bring their energy, their humour, their kindness and their willingness to be part of something together. As much as I facilitate the sessions, I always leave feeling uplifted myself. No matter what sort of day I've had, I walk out of The HUB feeling lighter, more connected and grateful for the opportunity to share the circle with such an incredible group of women.

🧡 Tuesday evenings: women's experienced drumming; and
🧡 Wednesday evenings: women's beginner's drumming.

If you've been curious about drumming, I'd love to welcome you along. There is always a place for you here.

Rest is not a reward for working hard enough, rest is a human need.

In a world that often celebrates busy-ness, productivity, and pushing through, it can feel uncomfortable to slow down.

Our nervous systems were never designed to stay in 'go mode' all the time.

Rest is not laziness, it's not weakness, and it's not something you have to earn once everything is done.

Rest allows our body to repair, our mind to soften, our nervous system to settle, and our heart to reconnect with what matters.

Sometimes rest looks like sleep, sometimes it looks like stillness, boundaries, quiet, movement, tears, laughter, saying no, or simply taking a breath before continuing.

You're allowed to pause before exhaustion and you are allowed to care for yourself without guilt.

Wednesday was full of all sorts of AMAZING!

I delivered my very first Mental Health First Aid Refresher Course in The HUB space… and it definitely won’t be the last.

These refresher courses are designed to help people update and maintain their MHFA accreditation, while continuing to build confidence in having conversations that matter.

A big thank you to the three wonderful women from Mission Australia who spent the morning learning, reflecting, and sharing together. It was clear how deeply they care about the work they do and the people they support in our community.

There’s something really special about seeing people continue to invest in mental health education and connection, not because they have to, but because they genuinely want to make a difference.

Feeling very grateful today to see training happening inside The HUB walls.

If your MHFA accreditation is about to expire, please reach out. I’d love to help you 🧡

A person I hold dear created an AI caricature of the work and heart behind Collective Therapy Hub… and it did give me a giggle.

While it’s a little exaggerated, it also reminded me of how many different ways connection happens inside this space.

Through counselling, yin yoga, drumming, conversations, a cuppa, a pause, or a moment of feeling heard, mind + body health therapies.

This HUB is never been about perfection. What it is about is creating a space where people can feel safe enough to be human.

… and apparently keeping sourdough alive 😆

Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is stop… and breathe.

YIN Yoga is a slow, grounding practice that supports both our body + mind health.

By holding poses over time, YIN helps to 👇🏽

🧡Calm the nervous system;
🧡 Reduce stress and overwhelm;
🧡 Improve mobility and flexibility;
🧡Support fascia and joint health; and
🧡Ceate space to slow down and reconnect with yourself.

This isn’t about pushing harder. It's about softening, noticing, and allowing your body to exhale.

If you’ve been feeling busy, tense, emotionally full, or simply needing a pause, I am thinking that this is your invitation to come + join me.

YIN is on at The HUB Mondays 6pm, Thursday 6:30am, Fridays 9:30am and the first Saturday of the month at 8am (unless it's a public holiday).

You can book right here : https://www.collectivetherapyhub.com.au/bookings.

Come + Feel The Difference.

It’s Friday, which means a gentle reminder to pause for a moment and notice what’s been good this week.

It doesn't have to be someting big, and it defintely doesn't have to be perfect, just the small moments that helped you breathe a little easier.

Maybe somethig like 👇🏽
🧡 a quiet cuppa in the sun;
🧡 someone checking in on you;
🧡 a deep breath after a hard day;
🧡 laughter;
🧡 connection;
🧡 rest;
🧡 making it through the week;
🧡 finally saying no;
🧡 a walk outside; or
🧡 feeling a little more like yourself again.

Gratitude doesn’t mean life feels easy or without struggle. Sometimes it’s about the quiet practice of noticing what still brings comfort, connection, or steadiness amongst it all.

As you head into the weekend ... 'What are you GRATEFUL for?'

Do you know that you are allowed to choose different?

You don't have to keep doing something simply because you always have, and you also don't have to keep pushing yourself beyond what feels sustainable, especially when, over time, it has become your normal.

You are allowed to pause and check in with yourself as to what you truly need, and you are allowed to make choices that support your wellbeing, your values, and the life you want to create.

Choosing differently doesn't mean you've failed. What it actually means is that you are finally listening to yourself, and than can feel incredibly freeing 🧡

What would it look like to choose from CARE instead of PRESSURE this week?

So much of life can begin to feel automatic.

We keep going because we always have, we say yes because it feels expected, and we push through because we know how to cope. Sound familiar?

Coping and caring for yourself are not always the same thing.

Choosing from care might look like this 👇🏽
🧡 Going to bed earlier;
🧡 Saying no without over-explaining;
🧡 Leaving something for tomorrow;
🧡 Putting down your phone; and
🧡 Giving yourself permission to do things differently.

What if you did this not from guilt, not from pressure, but from a place of listening to what you truly need? I'm a realist, this may take some time, and that's ok.

You are allowed to pause long enough to ask yourself ... 'Is this coming from care, or from pressure?'

Awareness creates space for choice, and this is where change begins.
