I received a call from an NDIS provider looking for a clinician to assess a participant, develop an individualised diabetes management plan and provide training for their disability support workers.

I asked the usual question: ā€œHow did you find me?ā€

The answer?

ā€œChatGPT recommended you.ā€ šŸ˜³

Apparently ChatGPT had searched the available services in Launceston and ranked MyDiabetes as the best match, based on my combined practice as a Credentialled Diabetes Educator and Nurse Practitioner, with diabetes technology and insulin management expertise.

And then they actually called me.

There is something quite surreal about seeing the work Iā€™ve spent years building described back to me by an AI ā€” and even more surreal when that recommendation turns into a real referral.

The internet is a strange place sometimes. šŸ˜‚
