Vaccination for Tuberculosis (BCG) is available through my regular BCG clinic held approximately monthly at the Travel Medicine Clinic. Vaccination is recommended for infants and children (less than 5 years of age) travelling to countries where the risk of tuberculosis is high.

Q fever cases on the rise.
If you work with or have contact with animals such as cattle, sheep, goats or kangaroos, you may be at risk of exposure.
Q fever vaccination is available from
Dr Jo at the Travel Medicine Clinic, Launceston Health Hub.

Last year, Australia recorded 912 cases of Q fever – the highest number since national monitoring began in 1991. If you work around certain animals, take steps to protect yourself.
