🔮🔥 THINGS YOUR SPIRITUAL MENTOR PROBABLY DOESN’T WANT YOU TO HEAR 🔥🔮
The Midlife Midwife is about to ruffle a few feathers…
So grab your crystals, put your sage down for five minutes and prepare yourself. 😂
Because there are some things that apparently aren't very "high vibe" to talk about.
Like spiritual manipulation.
Yep.
It exists.
And sometimes it comes wearing white linen, carrying a crystal and talking very confidently about your "highest timeline." 🤷♀️😂
1️⃣ "YOU NEED ME TO DEVELOP YOUR GIFTS."
Really?
Because if your psychic ability is a genuine part of you, I'm pretty sure you don't need to sign a lifetime subscription to someone's spiritual coaching program.
A good teacher can help you develop your awareness.
They can teach you techniques.
They can give you feedback.
But they don't own your gifts.
And if the underlying message is:
"You can't do this without me…"
🚩🚩🚩
That's dependency, darling.
Not development.
2️⃣ "DON'T QUESTION WHAT I'M TELLING YOU."
Oh, absolutely bloody not.
Question everything.
Including me.
Including yourself.
Including that very convincing person who has 47,000 followers and calls themselves a "Divine Channel of Universal Truth."
Being spiritual doesn't mean turning your brain off.
In fact, I'd argue that discernment is one of the most important spiritual muscles you can develop.
If someone gets angry because you ask questions…
Ask more questions.
😂
3️⃣ "SPIRIT TOLD ME YOU HAVE TO DO THIS."
Ahhh… the spiritual trump card.
Because apparently Spirit has appointed them as your personal middleman.
Now, I absolutely believe people can receive intuitive or spiritual information.
But there's a HUGE difference between:
"I'm sensing something around this situation. Does that resonate?"
and
"Spirit says you MUST do this."
One invites you to use your own discernment.
The other can shut it down.
Never surrender your decision-making to someone else's interpretation of Spirit.
4️⃣ "YOUR VIBRATION IS TOO LOW."
Translation:
"I don't like what you're saying."
😂
Sometimes you're not "low vibration."
Sometimes you're pi**ed off.
Sometimes you're grieving.
Sometimes you're exhausted.
Sometimes you're having a bloody bad day.
And sometimes you're rightfully angry about something that needs changing.
Spirituality isn't about pretending you're permanently floating around on a cloud of unconditional love while ignoring the fact that someone just pi**ed you off.
We're human.
Feel your feelings.
Process them.
Learn from them.
Don't spiritually bypass them.
5️⃣ "IF YOU LEAVE THIS COMMUNITY, YOU'LL LOSE YOUR SPIRITUAL CONNECTION."
No.
No.
And NO.
If someone's spiritual community requires you to stay through fear, guilt or threats of spiritual consequences…
That's not community.
That's control.
You are allowed to leave.
You are allowed to change your beliefs.
You are allowed to outgrow teachers.
You are allowed to discover that something you once believed no longer resonates.
Growth sometimes means walking away.
6️⃣ "I KNOW WHAT'S BEST FOR YOU."
Do they?
Because here's a radical thought:
Maybe YOU know what's best for you.
A mentor can offer wisdom.
A psychic can offer insight.
A healer can offer tools.
But ultimately…
You are responsible for your life.
Your choices.
Your boundaries.
Your relationships.
Your healing.
Your bloody decisions.
And anyone who becomes uncomfortable when you reclaim that responsibility deserves a very healthy dose of distance.
7️⃣ THE BIGGEST RED FLAG OF ALL…
You become afraid to trust yourself.
Read that again.
If your spiritual journey leaves you constantly thinking:
"I'd better ask them first."
"What will they think?"
"Maybe my intuition is wrong."
"Maybe I'm not evolved enough."
"Maybe I need another reading."
"Maybe I can't do this without them."
Then something has gone seriously sideways.
Because spirituality should ultimately bring you closer to yourself.
Not further away.
AND HERE'S THE MIDlife MIDWIFE TRUTH…
I've got absolutely nothing against spiritual teachers.
I've had teachers.
I've learned from others.
I've made mistakes.
I've believed things that I no longer believe.
I've changed.
I've questioned.
I've grown.
And that's exactly the point.
A genuine mentor should be able to survive your growth.
They shouldn't need you to remain the version of yourself who first walked through their door.
They should actually be bloody delighted when you become confident enough to stand beside them rather than beneath them.
Because the best teachers don't say:
"Follow me."
They say:
"I'll show you the tools. Now go and discover what is true for YOU."
That's empowerment.
That's sovereignty.
That's spiritual maturity.
And here's a little challenge for anyone reading this:
Think about the spiritual teachers, mentors, healers or psychics you've encountered.
Ask yourself:
✨ Do they encourage questions?
✨ Do they respect boundaries?
✨ Do they acknowledge that they can be wrong?
✨ Do they encourage you to trust yourself?
✨ Can you disagree with them without being shamed?
✨ Do you feel stronger after working with them?
✨ Would they celebrate you eventually not needing them?
If the answer is yes…
Bloody brilliant.
You've probably found a good one. ❤️
If the answer is no…
Well…
Perhaps your intuition has been trying to tell you something.
😉🔮
And remember:
You don't need to surrender your sovereignty to become spiritual.
You don't need someone else's permission to trust your intuition.
You don't need to be "high vibe" every bloody minute.
And you absolutely don't need to hand your power to someone just because they can see things you can't.
Your spiritual journey belongs to YOU.
Walk it with curiosity.
Walk it with courage.
Walk it with discernment.
And occasionally…
tell the spiritual bu****it to f**k off.
With love,
