💙 September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month 💙
This month is a reminder for men to take an active role in looking after their prostate health.
Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting Australian men, and the risk increases with age. Knowing your risk factors and talking with your doctor about prostate health can help you make informed decisions about screening and early detection.
👨⚕️ Talk to your GP if you:
Are concerned about changes in urination or other prostate symptoms
Have a family history of prostate cancer
Are unsure whether prostate cancer screening is appropriate for you
Or would simply like to discuss your prostate
Importantly, prostate cancer does not always cause symptoms in it's early stages, so having a conversation with your doctor is worthwhile.
Don’t put it off. Make your prostate health part of your regular health check.
