We’re looking for an experienced Practice Manager or Operations Leader to join the SMART Spot team in Albury while our current Practice Manager takes maternity leave.

This is a 3-day-per-week, 6-month fixed-term role, with genuine potential to extend.

You’ll step into an established paediatric allied health practice with a beautiful team, strong systems and a leadership role where you can genuinely make an impact.

Today was another wonderful day partnering with one of our local preschools. 💛

At SMART Spot, we believe the greatest impact happens when we work alongside educators, not just with individual children.

Today’s visit included:
✨ Partnering with educators in the classroom
✨ Capacity building through coaching and modelling evidence-based strategies
✨ Small group intervention targeting communication
✨ Supporting children within their natural learning environment
✨ Providing families with practical handouts that align with the skills being targeted at preschool, helping carry learning into everyday routines at home.

This tiered approach reflects best practice. Rather than relying solely on one-to-one intervention, we support children’s communication across all environments by building the confidence and capability of the adults who spend the most time with them.

We are so excited to introduce Nat, our Senior Occupational Therapist, who brings 15 years of experience working with children and families across a wide range of developmental needs.

Nat is passionate about partnering with families to understand each child’s unique strengths, differences and everyday experiences. Her warm, collaborative approach empowers parents with practical strategies that can make a meaningful difference at home, at school and in the community.

At SMART Spot, Nat will be offering our Assessment & Family Guidance Model.

Speech is how we say sounds in words, I think articulation voice fluency. Language is what we say, the words we choose how we put them together and how we understand others.

Both are essential for communication but they develop differently and may need different types of approach.

Clinical Excellence this afternoon!

Mary led some of our team through a focused session on Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) unpacking what it is, how it presents, and the nuance required to identify it well.

We also deepened our skills in ReST therapy (Rapid Syllable Transition Treatment) as an evidence-based approach for children with CAS.
