Unfortunately, this was my experience in the beginning too, after my rollerskating accident 💔
People thought I was exaggerating or being dramatic - there was no way I could really be having 4-6 migraines a week. But I was, and it was incredibly isolating to feel like no one truly understood what I was going through.
I’m so grateful to have such an amazing support system around me now, and even more grateful that I’m able to help other people who are going through something similar 🤍
Because when you’re in that boat, having someone who gets it can make such a difference 🫶🏼
Lauren Evans was seven when she got her first migraine and went on to have them regularly - by the time she was 24, they were happening every day.
Migraine is often misunderstood as "just a headache" despite being a neurological condition that can leave people unable to work, socialise or function in everyday life, according to a migraine expert.
