This week at Gralee School, students have come together to honour Reconciliation Week with a variety of meaningful activities that celebrate Aboriginal culture and promote unity. Throughout the week, students have begun crafting their own totem poles. Additionally, they created vibrant 'Sorry Day' hibiscus flowers, paying tribute to the voices and stories of the Stolen Generations.
The school community also engaged in making a large Reconciliation Week handprint mural, symbolizing the collective commitment to respect, understanding, and reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Today we participated in ‘Wear it Yellow Day,' where students proudly wore yellow to show their support for the Children’s Ground initiative, an important program aimed at providing school buses, nutritious food, and classroom resources for children in the Northern Territory. Thanks to the generosity of the school community, Gralee School has raised an impressive $440 so far!
A big well done to all the students, staff, and families at Gralee School for their enthusiasm and commitment during Reconciliation Week. Your efforts help to build a more inclusive and respectful future for all Australians.

🔬⚡ What an amazing day of science! 🧪✨

Today our students got to channel their inner scientists, taking part in some seriously cool experiments run by the wonderful Darron from Riverina Environmental Education Centre! 🙌

They explored chemical reactions 💥, got hands-on with electricity ⚡, and had an absolute HEAP of fun along the way! 🎉😄

A huge thank you to Darron for inspiring our budding scientists — who knows, we may have some future researchers in our midst! 🌟🔭
