Last week we welcomed our new Chief Operating Officer Rachel Wolf to St Giles.
Her career in disability started over 20 years ago and she has held senior leadership roles both in Tasmania and interstate with leading service providers.
Rachel has met staff across the state as she gets started in her new role.
ā€œI think we have a great opportunity to build upon the SIL service we currently have, and at the same time we have the ability to further grow our Allied Health services thanks to the excellent facilities we already have,ā€ Rachel said.
ā€œIt is a lovely working environment and very welcoming. The people are fantastic and passionate about the people they’re supporting.ā€
We look forward Rachel’s leadership and insights as we continue to develop and improve our service delivery across the state.

At this stage in the pilot, targeted supports delivered by allied health professionals are not available and remain in the design and commissioning phase.

It's Muscular Dystrophy Awareness Month and we're shining a light on the work of Muscular Dystrophy Tasmania - a tireless advocate and supporter of Tasmanians affected by the various forms of Muscular Dystrophy and Associated Conditions.

Give their page a like or pop a coin in the tip jar this month at Grill'd North Hobart to support their work!

September is Muscular Dystrophy Awareness Month šŸ’š

September is a time to raise awareness, build understanding and shine a light on the people and families living with muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular conditions.

Behind every diagnosis are real people, real families and real stories.

At Muscular Dystrophy Tasmania, our community is at the heart of everything we do. We’re here to provide support, connection, information and advocacy, while working to ensure Tasmanians living with muscle-weakening conditions have a stronger voice.

This September, we’re asking our community to support the work we do. Your donation helps MDT continue being there for individuals and families across Tasmania.
