ONE FINAL SPOT for tomorrow’s Home Tea Practice Workshop at Bluegreen. 🍵🤎

Sunday 6 September | 2–5pm

This afternoon is about so much more than learning how to make tea. It’s about setting you up with a simple, beautiful practice that can become part of your everyday life something you can take to the beach at sunrise, into the forest, beside a waterfall, or simply sit with at home when you need to slow down and come back to yourself.

We’ll begin with a tea ceremony together, then move into the foundations of creating your own home tea practice learning about the leaves, water, teaware, preparation and ritual, but most importantly, learning through the bowl and through your own direct experience.

A practice that doesn’t ask you to perform or perfect anything. Just to sit, pour, receive and listen.

Tea has genuinely changed the way I meet my days, and I’m so excited to pass on what I’ve learned so you can begin building your own relationship with this beautiful practice.

There is now one final place available for tomorrow.

2–5pm at Bluegreen
BYO tea set or purchase a take-home set to begin your practice with.

Message me if that last spot feels like yours. 🍵🍃

September sunsets at BlueGreen. 🤎

Troy and I are returning for two Tea & Live Sound journeys this month, on 9/9 and 23/9, held in that beautiful golden window as the afternoon begins to soften into evening.

These journeys have become something we both love creating together, where tea and sound aren’t separate offerings, but two streams moving alongside one another, meeting and creating something else entirely.

As we share tea, Troy weaves didgeridoo, handpan, Native American flute and other meditative instruments through the ceremony, allowing the sound to move with the tea, the room and the people gathered within it.

There’s nothing you need to do or know, simply come as you are, receive your bowls, listen, feel, soften and allow the journey to unfold.

Very excited to be joining the beautiful line-up for Byron Wellness Festival 2026 🎪

From 27–29 November, Red Devil Park will become a gathering place for music, movement, ceremony, healing, creativity and connection, with such an incredible collection of artists, facilitators and practitioners coming together for the weekend.

Troy and I will be bringing our Tea + Live Sound journey to the festival, weaving tea ceremony with didgeridoo, handpan, Native American flute and other meditative instruments into one shared experience. Two streams meeting and becoming something that can really only be understood by experiencing it. 🍵🎶

I’ll also be stepping onto the main stage to share yoga, which feels pretty special amongst this beautiful gathering of humans. 🧘🏼‍♀️🤎

A little bit excited to see our names amongst this incredible line-up 🥹 so many beautiful artists, musicians, teachers, facilitators and practitioners gathering in Byron for one big weekend of music, movement, wellness, ceremony and connection. And what a line-up to be part of… Boy & Bear, Yaima, Samuel J, Kim Churchill, Kyle Lionhart, Sacred Earth, Elijah Ray and so many more beautiful humans.

We recorded this just after stepping out of a full weekend with Simon Borg-Olivier at Rasa Lennox… faces soft, jaws relaxed, hearts full and inspired 🤍🩶

One of my favourite little takeaways was Simon’s “chew kiss” a simple movement to soften the face and release the jaw, which you may spot me doing here 😂 sharing in case your jaw needs a little love too.

And now we’re so excited for our next Tea + Sound journey. Spring is in the air, and it’s so special to gather at Bluegreen in the late afternoon, moving towards sunset with the birds, the changing light, delicious tea and Troy’s live sounds woven throughout.

Two streams • tea + sound • meeting to create a third that is hard to explain, but very easy to feel.

03/09/2026

Matty and I were sitting with tea at the beach this morning, talking about the long game, and what it actually means to stay with something long enough to receive its nectar.

Whether it’s a daily practice, working with a practitioner, a creative path, a friendship, a marriage or a long term relationship, anything we choose to cultivate over time will contain seasons we probably wouldn’t have consciously chosen.

It isn’t all sunshine, sometimes there is rain, sometimes there are storms, sometimes there are stretches where it feels like nothing much is happening, and then there are seasons where everything flowers and we taste the sweetness of what has been growing underneath it all.

It reminded me of an analogy I once heard shared by the musician Satsang. We spend so much of our lives wanting the thing, the relationship, the healing, the practice, the family, the opportunity, the life we’ve imagined. Then eventually we’re handed the box containing the very thing we asked for. We open it and discover the gift came with things we didn’t realise we were agreeing to.

We think, I’ll take the love, but not the discomfort. The intimacy, but not the difficult conversations. The transformation, but not the periods where I feel stuck. The wisdom of the practice, but not the discipline of returning to it. But perhaps the gift is the whole box.

Of course, this doesn’t mean staying in situations that are harmful or fundamentally wrong for us. There are absolutely times when leaving or choosing differently is the wisest thing we can do.

But there is also something to be said for staying with the natural seasons of what we deeply value, rather than assuming every difficult season means something has gone wrong.

Maybe the nectar isn’t only in the good bits. Maybe some of the deepest nectar comes from staying long enough to know the whole thing, the sunshine and the storms, the ease and the friction, the flowering and the fallow seasons.

There is a particular kind of richness that can only be cultivated over time. 🤎

A final invitation for The Way of Tea, Home Practice Workshop this Sunday 🤎🍵

I’ve been refining this workshop all week and I am genuinely bursting to share it.

Tea has become so much more than a ritual in my life. It is a practice of presence, and I have found that when we create the space to become truly present, so much begins to open. Creativity starts to flow, deeper truths have space to surface, intuition becomes clearer, and we can find the words for things we haven’t previously been able to articulate. There is also a deepening gratitude, love and appreciation for what is already here.

This is the beautiful ripple effect of a regular tea practice. What begins with simply sitting down, preparing tea and being with a bowl gradually weaves its way into how we create, communicate, relate, listen and live.

On Sunday we’ll explore the foundations of creating your own home tea practice, including ritual tools, preparing your space, water and brewing, the different types of tea and their energetics, sensory tasting and learning through your own body, and most importantly, how to create a practice that feels entirely your own.

A practice to live, with no perfection required. 🤎

One of the things we’ll explore in Sunday’s Home Tea Practice Workshop is Shakti, and the relationship we build with the ritual tools we return to again and again.

The more we sit with the same teaware, the more relationship begins to form. The pot we pour from, the bowl we receive from, the cloth beneath our hands, the scoop we reach for and the incense we light all become woven into the practice through repetition, care and presence.

When we practise with the same pieces over time, they begin to hold the memory and energy of all the times we have sat with them, the spacious mornings, the distracted days, the moments we needed grounding, the ceremonies that moved something deeply within us and the completely ordinary cups of tea that simply allowed us to meet what was there.

This is part of cultivating Shakti within the ritual. Through our attention, devotion and repeated practice, the objects we use begin to carry a certain charge. They don’t need to be precious or perfect. It is the relationship we create with them, the way we care for them and the reverence we bring to their use that matters. What we repeatedly tend to, we enliven.

Over time, simply laying out your tea cloth, warming your pot or wrapping your hands around your familiar bowl can become an invitation into presence. The body begins to recognise the rhythm of the ritual before the mind has even caught up, creating a familiar pathway into slowing down, listening and meeting what is here.

This is why creating a home tea practice is about so much more than learning how to prepare tea. It is about cultivating relationship with the leaf, the water, the teaware, the space around you and ultimately yourself. A simple everyday ritual becomes a living practice, deepened each time we sit.

We’ll explore this and so much more this Sunday as we learn how to create and tend a tea practice of your own. 🍵🍃

The longer I sit with tea, the more I realise that the practice is teaching me how to live. 🍵

Tea teaches me to slow down enough to notice what is actually here, to listen before responding and to give one thing my full attention. It reminds me that more isn’t always better, that there is so much richness in simplicity, and that tending lovingly to what is directly in front of us can be a practice in itself.

It teaches me how to receive without always needing to do, and it shows me the places where I’m rushing, grasping, distracted or trying to control the outcome. Each time I sit, I’m reminded that the same tea will never taste exactly the same twice, just as no moment in our lives will ever arrive in exactly the same way again.

Over time, a regular tea practice becomes so much more than making and drinking tea. It becomes a simple home sadhana, an embodied ritual that brings us back into relationship with ourselves, our senses, our surroundings and the people we share our lives with.

It’s really beautiful when we begin to notice that the way we prepare the water, hold a bowl, pour for another person and sit with what is here can begin to ripple out into the way we meet the rest of our lives.

How we do one thing is often how we do everything.

This Sunday I’m sharing the foundations of creating your own home tea practice, not so that you can become “good” at tea or perform the ritual perfectly, but so that you have a simple practice you can return to again and again.

We’ll begin by receiving tea together, allowing ourselves to drop into the experience before moving into the practical and embodied teachings of preparing, serving and sharing tea. My hope is that you leave not only knowing how to make tea in this way, but understanding how this beautiful daily ritual can become a practice of presence, connection and remembering what really matters.
