- As you may or may not know I work with the Education Department as a relief Special Needs Education Assistant.

Currently the WA Government is running a community survey on the importance of play for child development.

It’s imperative that play and the opportunities to learn through play based activities remain within our education curriculum.

It is vitally important we allow children from all walks of life the opportunity to learn in this way.

Hubs and I were lucky enough to find ourselves 8km off the coast of Fremantle on Sunday witnessing the most majestic and magical whales as they migrate their way south to Antartica.

It certainly eased the Grand Final loss of our beloved Dockers 💜.

The research vessel - Whale Watch Fremantle runs tours daily during this time.

We were so lucky to see so many pods resting in the waters off the coast of Fremantle and Rottnest before they make their massive journey to cooler waters.

It certainly puts life into perspective when you see these incredible mammals in the wild.

I've no doubt the Dockers and the Purple Army will be marching back next year 💚❤️💜🐳.

Highly recommend spending time on Fremantle waters amongst the whales.

Over the past decade I've built a little world of ways to support and bring healing to my clients body, your mind, your soul.

As you’re aware Bowen treats the physical through easing pain, calming the nervous system, helping the body remember how to release and repair.

Through Flower Essence Therapy I work with something more subtle the emotional and psychic layers we carry, the old patterns, the quiet grief, the parts of us that don't always have words.

Nature is the thread running through all of it.

Flowers hold a wisdom and intelligence of their own, and when we work with them alongside the body, something shifts that's hard to explain but easy to feel real, lasting change.

This blend is what makes my work so different, and it's why I'm stepping back from the constant pull of social media. I'd rather show up less often and more meaningfully and will only be posting here intermittently.

Julian Barnard is/was a pioneer within the Flower Plant Medicine industry. He was an insightful and an incredible healer of our time. We send our condolences to his family and all who worked so closely with Julian. He has left an incredible legacy for humanity. Vale Julian Barnard.

It is with great sadness and regret that we have to announce the death of Julian Barnard on Sunday, 13th September 2026.

Julian founded Healingherbs with the encouragement and support of Nickie Murray, following her departure from the Bach Centre.

Under her guidance he developed the education resource. This continued to be his mission throughout his life: to give free access to the work of Dr Edward Bach to the public at large.

He will be known to many of you as the warrior who enabled Bach Flowers to be recognised as a beneficial force for healing, and to others who made Bach flower essences according to the original direction of Dr Bach, and fought for them to be available worldwide.

He will be remembered across the world for the many teachings he gave, the books written and published in many languages and the recorded lectures freely available on the Healingherbs website.

For us at Healing Herbs he was both a close friend and colleague who supported the marginalised and misunderstood and will be sadly missed.

Another post from the pool - Rehab has still been ongoing amongst the busy of life - I've shifted things up a bit and am now adding cycling to my repertoire - not Tour De France ready by any means, with the supports of Acupuncture, Bowen and Flower Essences my recovery has been a smashing success .. and well, you never know.

Stamina is the name of the game and now caring for my Mum who's currently undergoing treatment for Lymphoma - life itself has forced a slow down to attune what really matters. Clinic times have changed just slightly.

Hence why I'm not posting as often and am moving away from socials as time is better well spent. Being present, letting go of the hustle and making time my friend - it's been a huge lesson in decluttering and focus. Maybe you have felt the same?

Time and energy is certainly a currency, moving away from the things that drain and into ways that support and nourish.

Whoop whoop it’s that time of year again - the Spring quarter - The Kalamunda Garden Festival is on again tomorrow.

How cool it’s also for Father’s Day a great day for Dad and the fam. What better way to celebrate amongst the trees, plants and like minded community.
