Your waistline can tell us more than your weight.

Extra weight around the abdomen can sometimes be part of a cluster of health problems called metabolic syndrome.

This can include:

• High triglycerides
• Low “good” HDL cholesterol

Together, these can increase the risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease and fatty liver disease.
