Farewelling our Western Sydney University student today and celebrating all her wins over 8 weeks of placement with us! ❤️

Only ONE placement left to go! 🙌

We love being able to mentor and support allied health students as they take those important steps from university into the real world. There’s something pretty special about being part of their learning journey and helping shape the next generation of clinicians.

Go smash that final placement — you’re almost there! 🎓✨

I’m feeling incredibly proud of our Skilled Health team right now ❤️

Falls prevention might not sound glamorous, but the impact is enormous!

In Australia, falls are now the leading cause of injury hospitalisation, accounting for more than 253,000 hospital admissions in 2024–25. For people aged 65+, the rate of hospitalisation from falls is around 12 times higher than for adults aged 25–44. Fall-related injuries are also estimated to cost our health system around $5.4 billion a year.

I’m dropping details for our Camden Stepping On group. Please share with family, friends, neighbours!

I guarantee you’ll learn, laugh and love it! 🤗🎉🤩

See you soon!

This week, our Skilled Health case manager had an exciting opportunity to work alongside a client with a spinal cord injury and his treating team, exploring how a mobile arm support could help him regain more functional use of his upper limb.

The goal was: pick up a piece of fruit and bring it to his mouth.

It was a great afternoon of clinicians, equipment providers and the client all working together, problem solving, adjusting and trying again.

How fantastic that he succeeded in eating a whole mandarin with minimal assistance! 🤩

These are the moments we love — bringing the right people together and focusing on what actually matters to the person in front of us.

Older Australians deserve access to the care they need, without unnecessary financial barriers.

From 1 October 2026, essential personal care services under the Support at Home program will become fully government funded, making everyday supports like showering, dressing and continence care more accessible for eligible participants.

If you're an older person, family member, carer or aged care professional, this update is worth knowing.

Every person has a story.

At Skilled Health, we have the privilege of working alongside people from many different cultures and backgrounds. Their resilience, courage, and lived experiences shape who they are and remind us that truly person-centred care begins with listening.

We are incredibly proud that our Managing Director, Theresa Tran, is one of 16 co-authors in “From Survival to Contribution: Legacy Book”, a community-funded project sharing the stories of refugees who have helped shape modern Australia.

As this book is distributed to libraries and organisations supporting migration and settlement, these stories will continue to educate, inspire, and foster understanding for generations to come.

Congratulations to Vivianne Dawalibi for leading the project and to everyone involved in bringing this important project to life!

Did you know LEGO® Therapy was developed by Dr Daniel LeGoff, a clinical neuropsychologist? And did you know it’s a structured therapy approach - not just playing with LEGO®?

At Skilled Health, we use LEGO® Therapy to support social communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills for young people and adults.

Before rolling out programs to our clients, our therapists like to road-test them ourselves! In this video, our team members are taking on the roles of Supplier, Engineer, and Builder and working together to successfully complete a LEGO® project.

We’re also proud to have a Certified LEGO® Therapy Facilitator on our team.
