Kono Kollective – Creating Connections is delighted to introduce a brand-new Tāniko Weaving Workshop with Kaiako Marcia Meyer.

Step into the beautiful world of tāniko, the intricate finger-weaving technique that has adorned Māori cloaks (kākahu) for generations. Rich in tradition and meaning, tāniko is more than a weaving style—it's a way of preserving whakapapa, expressing creativity, and connecting with the stories woven into every pattern.

Whether you're beginning your weaving journey or looking to expand your skills, Marcia will guide you through the foundations of tāniko in a welcoming and supportive environment.
