Operating since 2015, Warida Wholistic Wellness is an international Indigenous social enterprise based in the north-east Adelaide Hills on Kaurna Country in South Australia. It was founded through the recognition that communities needed something different to western clinical approaches to improve the growing mental health crisis around the world. Warida works on two levels:

* the grassroots level through decolonising practices, empowering a diversity of women to reconnect to their inner fire and embrace healing on their own terms. We also see economic empowerment through business support as integral to the healing process.

* On another level, Warida drive systems change approaches for corporates, government and organisations through trauma informed culturally integrated workshops, while supporting economic development through personal, executive, and business coaching for individuals and businesses in the early start-up phase. Although based in Adelaide Hills, South Australia, we also provide an outreach service, with many of our services available through Zoom or online. Warida is led by Founder & Managing Director, Bianca Stawiarski - a strong Badimaya (Badimia) and Ukrainian woman, who is a centred and purpose-driven healer, consultant, speaker, lecturer, author, trainer & change-maker. She infuses her calming, resilient, earthy, Indigenous connectedness into all that she does & has her own unique way of delivering culturally safe, empowering & trauma-informed support and training. There is something pretty special about sitting together with First Nations women and having a proper yarn about business. Not just about the polished bits either.

The ideas we are carrying. The businesses we are already building. The things that make it harder than it needs to be. The support that actually helps, rather than what someone else thinks we need.

I'm heading to Port Augusta and Ceduna this September as part of Indigenous Business Australia's First Nations Women in Business Engagement Series, and I would genuinely love to see local First Nations women there.

These consultations are an opportunity to bring your experiences, ideas and perspectives into the conversation about First Nations women in business and entrepreneurship.

You do not need to have everything figured out. You do not need to have a perfectly formed business plan. You might already be running a business, have an idea quietly bubbling away, or simply be curious about what might be possible and what your views heard.

Come as you are and join the yarn.

Warida Wholistic Wellness is honoured to be working with Indigenous Business Australia as part of its Strong Women Strong Business initiative, facilitating two Women in Business Consultation Workshops in regional South Australia.

These yarns are an opportunity for First Nations women to have a genuine voice in shaping IBA’s new Women's Business Coaching Program.

We want to hear about your business journey, your experiences accessing business support and financial services, what has helped, what has made things harder, and what you would like to see available for First Nations women in business in the future. Your experiences and knowledges matter. This is a chance to help shape what comes next.

This August, I’m taking the plunge for the Daffodil Day Dip 💛

I’m doing one dip day during August to raise funds for cancer research and to support the work that gives hope to people and families affected by cancer. As a Cancer Council SA Board Director, I try to get behind fundraising activities like this where I can. Research matters. It gives us better treatments, better outcomes and, importantly, more time with the people we love.

Cancer is also something that reaches far beyond statistics. So many of us have been touched by it in some way, through our families, our friends, our communities, and sometimes through our own experience.

Almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85. Behind every one of those numbers is a person, a family and a whole circle of people walking alongside them.

So, for one day in August, I’ll be taking the plunge and doing my little bit to help raise funds for vital cancer research. If you would like to support my Daffodil Day Dip, you can donate through my fundraising page here:

Exhibiting today at Supply Nation’s Connect on behalf of Warida Wholistic Wellness and BilaEmpower, saw heaps of amazing First Nations businesses but forgot to get a photo with most of them and also forgot to get a photo of our Trade Stand! Oops! So busy yarning.

However, did get a photo of two deadly female founded businesses, Tanyah Nasir Consulting Service, and Christine Sindely from & Co.

Now to get all glammed up for the Gala Award’s Night where BilaEmpower is a finalist in Supply Nation’s Registered Supplier of the Year award.
